I remember at least one dream every night, and last night's was a doozie. It stuck with me all day today: It was close to sunset and I was wandering around my old college campus. I knew I had some personal stuff upstairs in one of the buildings, and when I tried to go up the steps, some really big people(zombies?) started to harass me and I came back down and walked away, and then it became darker and the buildings started to become less familiar, and I knew I was in a bad situation, and then I woke up. (I wake up in a cold sweat often, but this was a vivid dream that really scared me) Anybody want to share a dream/nightmare? The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Black Flying Horse, in a storm, that was one nightmare I had when I was a child. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

I haven't had a nightmare in fifty years. I dreamed I was falling asleep on the little jitney that took us from Halifax out to where we lived in the country. When I woke up on the train I was really in my own bed, big confusion, I ended up on the floor of my bed room. |

I hesitate to call my bad dreams "nightmares." I guess it depends on how bad you think a dream has to be in order to be a nightmare. My bad dreams usually involve my family - that they hate me. The dreams have the same theme, but different stories. I don't recall any of my dreams waking me up in fear. I do have very vivid dreams, and they usually include something that's happening in my life at that moment. Unfortunately I can't think of any specific examples at the moment. I also dream in episodes. A while back I started dreaming about an apartment I was renting (in the dream, not in real life). Subsequent dreams involved that apartment, trying to make my rent payments on time, having people over, decorating, even the apartment being unsafe due to structure problems and/or weather. I wonder if television has anything to do with my episode dreaming. ~Sue~ |

I wonder if television has anything to do with my episode dreaming. That would make sense, but I've yet to experience that sort of dreaming, and I'm an avid tv watcher. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

When I was young and up through my mid twenties, I had episodic dreams that would continue from one night to the next. Also, when I was younger, I would have perfect recall of said dreams upon waking and throughout the day. I would typically dream with all of the senses active. (Which I've heard is unusual... Yet, I know many people that do have vivid dreams with all senses active.) In the past few years, my dreams have been "blocked" from my conscious mind. That is, once I wake up all memory of the dream is gone. All I can recall is that I did dream... This is frustrating for me after so many years of vivid dreams that I would carry with me throughout the day. I even go through periods recently where I go to bed, I fall asleep, all is black, no dreams that can be recalled, and I wake up in the morning. When this happens, I do NOT feel refreshed at all. It feels like I got no sleep. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

I would typically dream with all of the senses active. That's what I would call vivid dreaming! My dreams definitely involve sight and sound, but not smell, taste or touch. There is however a strong emotional sense tied in, and generally it's always an anxious one. Nice dreams are rare for me. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

I wonder if television has anything to do with my episode dreaming. I know of a TV series that could give almost anyone nightmares, VTTBOTS, an Irwin Allen Production, makes any alien movie look tame by comparison... Savoir-Faire is everywhere! Nice dreams are rare for me. +1 At best, my dreams are neutral. At their worst, I bolt upright and emit bloodcurdling screams. |

The very few times I dream, about once every 10 blue moons, I assume they must be neutral but as they seem to fade faster than the rate at which I wake up, but I may be mistaken. But I do know people do have bad bad dreams, but in those cases, like my now deceased Canadian Uncle, it was because they witnessed very bad things. He was one of the first people to enter Belsen-Bergen. |

I wonder if television has anything to do with my episode dreaming. I don't suggest watching tv with headphones on while sleepy. I was watching National Geographic's episode about "deadly" creepy crawlies. I fell asleep and started dreaming about them. When I finally woke up with a start. I looked at the tv saw a horrid that I was just dreaming about. |

In trying to avert a train crashing into another train, I crashed three trains into each other instead in my last remembered dream a few nights ago. I didn't enjoy it :( and wouldn't have minded at all if I hadn't remembered it when I woke up. |

My crazy dream last night: I was sitting around a bar/restaurant that had lots of windows so everybody could see the night sky pretty well. We all began to notice big glowing white orbs in the sky like small full moons. The orbs' light intensified and then they exploded into fireworks. This kept happening and I was getting curious, so I walked down to the waterfront and sat on the wharf while watching the orbs fall into the river. They kept falling closer and closer to me, and I noticed as they hit the water and shimmered in sparkling light, they fizzed out and became flat black discs of paper. I pulled two of them out of the water, and set them behind me, and then a big car pulled up, and two men got out and took the discs. I said, "hey, wait a minute", but the men had "Homeland Security" stitched on their uniforms, so I let them go. After that, I walked back to the restaurant and people were trying to get the news on tv, but couldn't get any reception. Right after that, buses started pulling up, and people with x-ray-like camera machines were scanning everybody before putting them on the bus. Some people were not let on the bus because they were told they were "sick". Turned out I was one of the sick ones. The sick people were divided into three groups. Each type of sickness glowed a shade of blue, or indigo, or purple. I think I was in the indigo group. I wandered into a seminar that told us what the colors meant, and apparently mine meant I was going to die first. This made me want to go seek out others of my sickness group... Then I woke up! No dreams and you don't feel refreshed? You must not be reaching REM sleep. ~Sue~ |
