Perhaps, but to his credit, he admits that others, looking at the same body of evidence, have legitimately drawn different conclusions. It is, at the very least, quite clear that Heisenberg was willing to assume a comfortable place in an evil regime, when others chose different courses of action. |

Codes can be broken, and increasingly so, computers get faster and faster, the US was able to read the Japanese Purple Code in the war, though not the Navy or Army codes, and the Japanese were never able to break the Navajo code in the Pacific, even if one was captured, it would do no good, as Navajo is a language, not a code... Yes, the Navajo code/language:) Total confusion to the other end trying to evesdropping the messages. I think the Samian language will do the same trick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzuWQpWCHls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3-ZUU2wLK0 |

Yes, the Navajo code/language:) Try this Navojo sentence "Atʼééd ashkii yiyiiÅ‚tsÄ…Ì". In Finland it's "Poika näki tytön" Speaking of Sames. Here is a very nice jojk, er song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woEcdqqbEVg From Colombia to a tribe from the north pole. Isn't that weird? Anyway Jon Henrik rocks or at least moves you! |

Just where do you all think I get the simple strength to stay here on this earth with all I have been through? What is it that drives me, keeps me alive, and gets me out of bed every day? Not just the kitties, they are part and parcel of the greater force in play here. I always stop short of preaching, but not short of telling. Giving you examples of what works in MY life is not telling you how to live yours. You may take away what you wish from my testaments, and I am not a preacher nor a disciple by any means. Just a simple man who heard the word many years ago and only succeeds in fulfilling a small portion of it. I believe that the simple chemistry of life that enables me to awaken each morning and type these words to page are far too complex to have come about by simple Darwinesque happenchance engineering. No, I was designed by the hand of God. No other explanation fits the bill. You can toss that out, and believe that your fate was created at the bottom of a pool of muck. DNA strands, incredibly complex and yet reliable enough to sustain your life, just happened in the chemical pool. Or, as some believe, we were seeded by ET. Even THAT I can believe in more that just chance. Or further out, one could possibly believe that I am indeed from kpax. Which I find to be the most enticing theory of all. Meow meow meow! How about this? A Win-Win situation. The initiative is inspired by the late Hans Rosling, a demographics expert who advised IKEA on its social and environmental strategies. https://www.dezeen.com/2017/04/18/ikea-massive-social-sustainability-drive-production-centres-refugee-camps-jordan/ |

Navajo code was more complex than simply translating English to Navajo. (As I understand it) Command wants to send a message. It is broken down into words or phrases that have Navajo words assigned to them at random. Those random code words are then encrypted with whatever system we were using back then. So, IF the Japanese break the encryption, and IF they realize the words are Navajo (which they never did), then they still just have a bunch of Navajo words that, collectively, are gibberish. If science gives me a hard fact that contradicts a bit of millennia-old faith, I'll go with the science. Just because science can't currently explain something doesn't mean there is no scientific explanation. We do not now know all the science there is. What I am prepared to believe is that God created the science. I just get stuck on the question of "where did God come from in the first place before He created the universe?" But so far, science can't explain that one either, and just thinking about it makes me loopy. I mean, the Big Bang is all well and good, but where did the matter that banged come from, and where did the space it's expanding into come from? In short, why is there anything at all? My problem with faith is, whose word do we actually have for it? Men's. I think that a lot of stuff in the Bible was made up, likely by parents sick and tired of answering "Daddy, why...?" all day and night, or just as parables to influence children toward good behavior... or to gain power over other people like modern televangelists. But even in the better-documented cases, who is telling us? Men. Who wrote it all down? Men. Who decided which writings to include in the Bible (and which NOT to)? Men. (No, I'm not being sexist by only saying men. There were probably some women too (mostly early on, in the "Mommy, why...?" category), but I'm sure the vast majority were male.) Changing the subject entirely... Oh my. I needed that. Watching Whose Line, the Tamera Mowry-Housley episode from last July. They did the game Themed Restaurant, with Wayne and Tamera having a romantic dinner and being interrupted by Colin, Ryan, and Greg as the waiters. The restaurant theme is Tom Hanks movies. Between interruptions, Wayne asks Tamera to marry him. All humorous and all that. The funny moment comes after they finish. Wayne is saying he might like to really get married again, but "who would I get married to?" Colin points to the audience and says "that guy looks nice." Just then, Aisha shouts "he's a nightmare! Ladies, he's a nightmare." A woman calls out from the audience "I'm okay with that!" I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at anything on this show. Rather than go back and find the Miguel Ferrer thread, I'll just comment here. On this week's NCIS:LA, they talked about Ferrer's character Owen Granger as presumed to be still alive. It was part 1 of 2 (or more), so he may officially die next week, but I bet he doesn't. The script was probably written, or at least heavily rewritten, after Ferrer's death. The plot is, like many NCIS plots in the last few years, comes from real-life headlines, and I'm a bit surprised it took them so long to get to it. The plot is, like many NCIS plots in the last few years, comes from real-life headlines, and I'm a bit surprised it took them so long to get to it. Maybe the producers wanted to respect the actors family's feelings ??? i dunno but could be plausable or are ratings that important " across the pond" that people's / the family's feelings mean bugger all to the execs ?? Life is what you make of it :-) When i'm good i'm very good , but when i'm bad i'm shi#eloads better ;-) In't I " buttercups " p.m.s.l at authoritie !!;-) |

Given the way many of this sort of series is made they may be running through scenes that were already shot and gradually fading him into the coffin. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

How one company in Africa turns ocean pollution into colorful artwork (amazing photos included in article) Flip-flops are one of the most common types of pollution found in oceans around the world, and one company in Africa is raising awareness by recycling them into colorful pieces of art. |

The plot is, like many NCIS plots in the last few years, comes from real-life headlines, and I'm a bit surprised it took them so long to get to it. I was referring to the main plot of the episode (corruption and excessive wait times for treatment at Veterans' Administration hospitals), not how Granger fit into it. They brought in two new characters (one of whom had a brief cameo right after Ferrer died and will probably be a permanent recurring character) for the evidently extensive rewrite. Given the way many of this sort of series is made they may be running through scenes that were already shot and gradually fading him into the coffin. I'm not sure how much of this one would have been in the can and had to be reshot after the rewrite. The simplest thing would have been for Granger to die in the hospital at the end of the story arc that aired in February, but it could be he was integral to further episodes, or that they just didn't want to be that simple/obvious. I think he probably will die by the end of either the current story arc or the season. They'll probably bring back his Korean daughter too (or did she die in her last appearance...?).
