Last time I moved this place, the assessor found out how much the cost was to do tear down, moving and setup, and added the total($7,000.00) to what I paid for the home($20,000.00), so for taxes My home is worth $27,000.00, not $20,000.00. Someone I guess thought that was an improvement, it wasn't, but so far I've not gotten anywhere in getting the taxable value reduced.

And of course the company that did setup is unreachable, the phone number when dialed, always says to call back later, I call back and I get the same recording... Last time I talked to the guy in charge He was semi retired.

Though good luck selling the place for more than $1, since last time I tried selling the home, I got a few people, all of which had no cash, sigh.

Sure the earthquake resistant foundation system that was county mandated cost $1,500.00, but not $7,000.00 as that was the only new thing that was added back in late 2006.

If the home was valued at $20,000 I'd only have to pay taxes on 1% of the $13,000.00 or $130.00+$5.30, for a total of $135.30.

There is an automatic $7,000.00 exemption in the property taxes, plus $5.30 for some fee the county applies to everyone.

I don't feel too good right now, something I ate... I drank some water, that should help.

Mite have only cost $1,500 back in 2006 but what would it cost to do it now .

House prices are partly valued on what they would cost to build them today not on what it cost 10 years ago plus the value of the land witch can go up or down but in suburbia they don't go down and mainly go up or stall but rarely go down

Or did you not expect that !!!!

go fund me again then we can expect !!!!!

Should be so lucky to own a home and whine about having to pay land tax those where the days I remember it well , when I was a younger man but alas all I have now is my memory's

Today, I didn't ask.

I knew that, I've owned houses off and on since 1980.

I did.

Nope, not unless more than a few people want Me to do that.

Relatives do pass away, sometimes one does get lucky, question is, will lightning strike twice or not? I've no idea.

I talked to another mobile home services business(Deluxe Construction returned My phone call), He said the $25,000.00 figure was about right on target, for what I want to do, though I might go for $35,000.00 just in case, things do happen. Deluxe does not do transport(moving), but I can find someone, there are only so many places on the net that work with mobile homes out here and He might know someone(I didn't ask).

I also need to talk to the city of Adelanto CA about who would put in utilities from the street(a stub and a gas meter), the city or a specialized contractor, plus I'd have to have Cable or Fios installed, Charter Cable is out there, Frontier Fios might be there too.

Oh and I am getting a refund on My property taxes going back to 2014(about $250 total) and a new tax bill soon that will reflect the new amount owed, which will be about $100.30 a year, better than $205.30 a year.

I'm sorry but I was just stating a fact, I'll die one day, sorry if I disturbed you, lightning is a metaphor, as you should know, nothing more, it was in reference to what My cousin told Me, and in what happened earlier in 2006, between Jan and Aug to My aunt, I later received a letter that I was in My aunts will and would receive an inheritance(She had no children), My cousin is 83 this year, 1 year older than My grandpa when He passed away. No I don't want Him to die, I just know it will happen, if He were going to send Me some pics, He would have already, He also asked for My complete mailing address, phone number and He has My email address too, I don't know much about Him, outside of the fact that He had worked for My Dad in the Newspaper business, He knew James and Pat had already passed away, He's the family genealogist He said, though He put everything about the family genealogy online already, so I can only think cause of where He was, that He didn't want word leaking out of our shared conversation.

If I'm wrong, it does not matter.

I just called the state of CA, the park is having more problems, and might be in arrears on rent owed(not by Me, I always pay up, on time too), the park is in bad shape, boarded up mobile homes, homes with broken windows, pavement that is cracked, has potholes and is turning to pea gravel, recently someone deposited a car next to My place and there is evidence the cars radio has been stolen(the car might be stolen too), I've been asked twice about this, it's not My car, employees here are I think getting paid by a personal check(illegal, could be being paid under the table), two people that I know of complained of a leaky roof and black mold, nothing was done outside of promises to fix, nothing was done, they moved elsewhere.

I'm afraid of losing My place, since I can't move it yet, though I do need to get it out of here, in to Adelanto CA on Joshua St near My nephews mobile home(the lot is near Koala Rd and El Mirage Rd), since My place was built in 1987 it may be too old and needs work on the outside(paint, new snow coat, 2 new exterior doors, 3 new dual pane vinyl windows, New skirting, New insulation under the floor, New steps to match the fiberglass steps at the backdoor, remove the water softener and the copper pipes, etc, etc...

For private lot:

Relocate swamp cooler to midway between living room window and kitchen window(side where front door is at),
New concrete driveway,
sidewalk and pad for existing foundation system,
New chainlink fencing, driveway roll gate, plus backyard fencing and gates,
gravel yard with overlapping fabric ground cover(red gravel, will supply a sample),
plastic wood/metal carport(reusing metal roof from old carport awning, extended length, same for rear door awning, moved to front door).

I called Sheriff's Dispatch on the abandoned Silver Honda, possibly stolen car, gave dispatch the cars license plate number, I was told a deputy will be dispatched.

I also found out being a Resident under the CA MRL(Mobilehome Residency Law) the Park would have to(and this is not optional), give Residents at least 1 years notice, there is a section that says the park would have to pay to move or reimburse residents(exact wording is at the link), but that seems to apply to those in a City, I'm in a County run area here.

Ok the Deputy showed up with a flat bed truck, the Honda Coupe is definitely stolen. I snapped the pic, just in case. The Deputy got some details from Me, like about when it showed up, My phone number, date of birth, etc.

Be aware of Civil Code sec 798.56(f) (part of the mobile home residence law) A tenancy shall be terminated by the management only for one or more of the following reasons: (f) Condemnation of the park.
There are no conditions to section f like there are to g which you reference. From what you describe sounds like f could be a possibility.

What about moving My mobile home to a private lot and Me under hard ship?
And what about the 1yr notice for residents?

The mobile home pictured was once marked for Demolition, later once the state left they covered the word DEMO up with paint, on almost all the units so marked.
There is a 3 person class action lawsuit against the park, peoples rent was raised with the expectation that the money was needed to fix the park, problem is almost nothing has been done.

I think I need to take more pics.

Nanny State Update: New York District Bans Kids From Riding Bikes to School
America’s kids are too fat. Right? Don’t we hear that all the time? Isn’t it a steady mantra from the left that America is suffering from an “epidemic” of obesity? So, shouldn’t we want to encourage kids to get outdoors? Wouldn’t it be a good thing if kids rode a bicycle to school?

Not to the nanny state in New York it wouldn’t. Seventh-grader Adam Marino and his mother Janette discovered this unusual situation when Adam’s school in Saratoga Springs threatened them with disciplinary action if the pair didn’t stop riding bikes to school.

--- snip ---

The District also prohibits kids to walk to school, as well.

Yes take LOTS of photos and keep a detailed log to go along with them noting as much info as possible just to CYA.

I battled a "slumlord" over 20 years ago (and won) about repeated maintenance issues by taking lots of photos and keeping a written detailed log along with them. I also noted the dates/times, who I talked to, etc of my calls to their office or if left a message.

Did/does this particular school have especially hazardous pedestrian access? Does this situation still exist, seven years later? Also consider the source, rightwingnews.com, and the right wing invective used (not to mention the grammar errors).

Ok I have a Doctors appointment on October 17th, I even got a new IEHP card, I'm still waiting on CA Lifeline and Assurance Wireless to get Me a free phone, that'll save Me $30.99 a month. And I have the following to get done, so far I'm able to still do routine tasks, others that aren't routine are harder, like working on this PC, or one of the others or even vacuuming I think.

More reasons for Me to move, besides living in what looks like a slum. Sorry I forgot to get some pics.

1.Repair gas furnace $150?(Nov),
2.Get oil change & 5qts RP 5w30 oil $57.32(Dec),
3.Install 2 tires on the car $36.00(Dec),
4.Property Taxes $80.30(Dec 12th 2016, I'm waiting for a new bill),
5.Get rear brakes worked on $100(?),
6.Get the rear struts installed $208(?),
7.Service automatic transmission $140?(?),
8.Install replacement speedo/tach assembly $100(?),
9.Work on car a/c $300?(?),
10.Replace CD changer with interface box that has USB, and other music enabled ports $100(?).

Plus I have 3 cards to pay down in 2017, 2 of which will or should be done by August 2017, I hope, the 3rd card too will be done by sometime in 2017, July or August maybe.

That's $948.00 worth of work to My car to be done in the latter part of 2017, the work with dates I'll try and get done before 2017 gets here.

It's hard to do a lot here, I could also use an MSI GTX1060 Gaming X card and a Red NZXT G10 Kraken(for the 1060), I have an NZXT X31 cpu cooler that needs a 1060 video card. $275.36 for 3GB ram, $387.13 for 6GB ram, both from Amazon. But that'll have to wait until sometime in the future, maybe 2019, maybe.
