This is really a very minor concern, but the graphics wont show on my computer. I am running windows 10 and I was able to get it to work on windows 8. I turned off the pop up blocker, but still no go. Any idea's?

Windows 10 Anniversary Update removed OpenGL from people's computers, which can be fixed by reinstalling the videocard drivers.

The Seti graphics and screen saver use OpenGL, which requires a driver on the videocard. Microsoft may not add this to the drivers for your videocard because they hate open source things, plus OpenGL directly competes with their own DirectX graphics solution.

So you'll have to get drivers from the videocard's or graphics processor unit's manufacturer (e.g. Intel, AMD, Nvidia) and install those.

I did not get Anniversary Update on my Windows 10 home edition. What I got was BK3176493 and BK3150513. Graphics is working.

Windows 10 didn't like, returned 8.

You're talking about the animated graph, right? I haven't seen this on my machine in a few years. I miss it! Once I was told that there just weren't enough Astropulse work units around, but today, I saw two AP jobs running and still no graph. I'm using Win7 so the W10/driver theory doesn't seem to apply. I've wondered if the graph has been discontinued.

The graphic only runs on CPU tasks. GPU tasks do not have the graphic. The driver issue isn't just a "theory", it is a known fact that if you don't have the entire graphics suite installed, complete with OpenGL components required to run the graphics, you can't see them. Note this is separate from the OpenCL (note the C and not the G in the name) required tor crunch on the GPU.

Both SETI Multibeam ("MB") and SETI AstroPulse ("AP") can be assigned to the CPU or GPU based upon the local client's request. Again, if it is running on your GPU, no graphic is displayed.

Once confirmed that the task is running on the GPU, you then have to determine if the screen saver was turned off. Or alternatively, if you're looking in BOINC Manager, you have to select the running task before you can click on the Show Graphics button.

Lemmee write that down: "... isn't just a "theory", it is a known fact..." OK. Got it.
Thanks for the info.
