I had to say "Goodbye" to my friend and shadow. She was at the end of her road in this life. So I took her to the veterinarian to start her on her new path on the other side. I had the privilege to be her friend for about 14 year of her long years. I asked the veterinarian about how old she was. From records and what I knew about her before. We have figured she was around 18 years old. She had a good life with me. If it were not for very old age problems and a health issue that was getting more frequent. I would still have her around for longer.
Wherever her new path is. I will miss her being away from my life.

My brother's co-renter's German Shepherd was laid to rest yesterday.
Filled with cancer. He was a happy lad until his final moments.
Another one to the Rainbow Bridge.
Rest in peace, dear Baron.

Meowsigh.

Thanks for the posts. I did not want to do what I had to do but it was for the best. She was having more frequent seizures. Don't know what caused them. If you just seen one for the time. You would swear the dog just died in front of you. Now her soul is in a better place.

So sorry about the loss, she is no longer suffering and will forever have her good health and puppy-hood spunk again!

We had a Beagle puppy that was found wandering the streets who we rescued/adopted and had seizures...

A few times she had grand mal seizures - thought for sure it was the end. She gave us almost 9 years of fun until the anti-seizure meds had damaged her kidneys and we had to make the decision to relieve her of her suffering and letting her pass to the rainbow bridge. Was not a easy thing to do.

You sound pretty normal to me. I would
worry if such decisions didn't bother me!
