Very nice pics.
Want me to go sailing again.

This was what it looked like when I arrived.

I think those are called crepuscular rays. Great pics. I love sun on the horizon pictures.

I'm having a senior moment. I can't remember what this is called.
But it's my favorite weed. A couple of years ago it grew up around
my mailbox. It didn't this year because I moved the mailbox. :-(
The flowers close overnight.

Edit: It's a morning glory. (Thanks, Google.)

I don't know what the vine is called, but it's a pretty picture.

I like the fleur de lis above your wind chimes, too.

Of course! That wind chime was only $15. It has faded quite a bit but
I bought it because it was orange and green - my favorite colors.
I expected it to break (it's glass) at the first strong wind, but it
didn't.

Today as I went for my daily walk along the shore I spotted an interesting looking ship on the horizon.

Even at that distance it looked a lot taller than the tankers and coasters I usually see.

I judged it would pass me just before I turned inland and it did.

The RSS(Royal Survey Ship) Discovery, just left Southampton en route to Liverpool.

Total one of a kind. Now that is something you don't see everyday in South London!!

No this is only 3 years old and replaced the previous "Discovery III".

So this is actually Discovery IV and as far as I can tell the newest in the fleet until the RRS Sir David Attenborough arrives possibly in 2019.

RRS Sir David Attenborough

Is that not the boat that should have been called "Boaty McBoatface?"

I am lucky in that I live on edge of my town and literally at the bottom of my road I am in countryside. At the top of my road I have a wooded area called Holt Copse and in May time it is absolutely beautiful with a carpet of Bluebells. Here are couple of photos that I took in 2006.

Here is one me playing with macro zoom in the camera

Coo, you have good eyesight, I had to look at original file to see it !

Wow. You live in a beautiful place!

Yes I think so, though I am more of a townie than a country person I find if I am feeling low or depressed a good walk makes me feel better.

I live in area called Emmbrook in the town of Wokingham. The area is named after the River Emm (well a small stream actually), here it is on a frosty morning.

In the picture the river is quite full at about 2ft deep, as it had rained recently, normally its about 3-4 inches deep. In July 2007 during the unseasonal storms it really let rip. The photos below taken a different, literally at the bottom of my road. The pictures were taken from bridge crossing the river.
