That would have resulted in impeachment -in other words, kicking him out of office first. Nixon resigned to avoid it, then Ford pardoned to avoid any charges being brought. (If I missed a detail, I'm too young to know from direct memory.)

A sitting President cannot be indicted for Criminal Acts. If she loses the FBI would be smart to wait until after the Inauguration to charge her if they find something 'chargeable'. You can bet Trump wouldn't pardon her. If she tries to pardon herself if she wins, there would be a Constitutional crisis to end all. I think the American voter is gonna hand her a great big surprise next Tuesday. Wanna bet she skips the country if she loses? Kinda like Roman Polanski escaped prosecution..... I found this quite interesting considering I'm trying to follow the Podesta leaks yet was still unaware of half the stuff on this list: 18 revelations from Wikileaks' hacked Clinton emails: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-37639370 ---- Edit: OK so John McAfee ain't the most reliable of sources but while Clinton's broken record is going, "Russia, Russia, Russia!", McAfee says it's Iran. "The president does not believe that Director Comey is intentionally trying to influence the outcome of an election. Also long time Clinton supporter (used to work for Bubba) Doug Schoen, wrote today "I can no longer support Hiliary due to the fact she will be under constant investigation if not outright indictment her entire term"(sic)....... The White House said on Monday that President Barack Obama does not believe that FBI Director James Comey is trying to influence the election with his decision to review new evidence in the probe into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state. "The president's assessment of his integrity and his character has not changed," White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters during the daily briefing. "The president does not believe that Director Comey is intentionally trying to influence the outcome of an election. The president does not believe that he is secretly strategizing to benefit one candidate or one political party." http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/white-house-james-comey-clinton-fbi-230540#ixzz4OgfmCzg9 Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. --- George Santayana Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. --- Lord Acton |

James Comey is having the biggest attack of conscience since Judas regretted taking the 30 talents of silver....... Now you are living in la-la land. Who ever heard of a FBI Director having a conscience. |

In the 1990 budget agreement, Bush the Elder *compromised* with the Democrats, and agreed to some tax increases... MajorKong... Of course that is why he lost the election. Just referencing the past Republican accusations. As will be the future Democrat accusations, if Hillary loses. How did Comey know that the emails on that computer 'appear to be pertinent' on Friday, but didn't get the warrant to examine them until Sunday. Nahh... The indictment didn't cost Bush the Elder the 1992 election... It was Bush the Elder's line at the 1988 Republican Convention... Read my Lips... No new Taxes... Well.... guess what... In the 1990 budget agreement, Bush the Elder *compromised* with the Democrats, and agreed to some tax increases... THAT is what doomed Bush the Elder's reelection in 1992... He BROKE his promise. In the 1992 presidential election campaign, Pat Buchanan repeatedly cited the pledge as an example of a broken promise in his unsuccessful challenge to Bush in the Republican primaries. In the general election, Democratic nominee Bill Clinton, running as a moderate, also cited the quotation and questioned Bush's trustworthiness. Bush lost his bid for re-election to Clinton. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Read_my_lips:_no_new_taxes https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

How did Comey know that the emails on that computer 'appear to be pertinent' on Friday, but didn't get the warrant to examine them until Sunday. Time will tell. Unfortunately, as with Bush Sr. similar situation, we don't have the time. Perhaps, as with Bush Sr.: "Many Republicans claimed that the indictment made by special prosecutor Lawrence Walsh against former Reagan-era Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger the weekend before the 1992 election cost Bush a second term. The indictment, later thrown out," "...a special prosecutor raised new charges against Bush in the Iran-Contra probe, prompting Clinton to claim he was running against a "culture of corruption." http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/flashback-clinton-cheered-11th-hour-indictment-that-doomed-bush-reelection/article/2606000 The same will happen. How did Comey know that the emails on that computer 'appear to be pertinent' on Friday, but didn't get the warrant to examine them until Sunday. Something smells fishy. Either the FBI have looked at them illegally or he doesn't know they are pertinent. It cannot be both. |

Nope. Nothing prevents her from being President even if she is in a jail cell.Lot's of precedent there, both Hiliary and the current 'Thief in Chief' have lots of 'Chicago Politics' in their background. 'Blogo' is still serving the people of the great state of Illinois from a Federal Prison Cell just 8 miles from my front door. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader, accuses Comey of breaking the "Hatch Act". Flashback: Bill Clinton cheered 11th hour indictment that doomed Bush re-election http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/flashback-clinton-cheered-11th-hour-indictment-that-doomed-bush-reelection/article/2606000 What's Good for The Goose... Guess the Democrats believe the American People are stupid. And will believe their stupid political charges. The American people understand BOTH Parties. Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader, accuses Comey of breaking the "Hatch Act". From Wiki. The Hatch Act of 1939, officially An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities, is a United States federal law whose main provision prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials of that branch, from engaging in some forms of political activity. The law was named for Senator Carl Hatch of New Mexico. It was most recently amended in 2012. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2016/10/30/harry-reid-says-comey-may-have-broken-the-law-by-disclosing-new-clinton-emails/ |

If she is elected and then convicted, wouldn't we get Kaine? Nope. Nothing prevents her from being President even if she is in a jail cell. Of course she would be impeached PDQ if she didn't resign, but that is something different.
