Greetings all! I am new to running SETI@home, though my brother growing up ran it on our parents computer. I was curious to know more about the Data Info panel; I see that it says the data is from Dec. 31, 2010... Is that the date the data my PC is crunching from, or is what I see on the graphics just a visual, not real-time, place holder just for show? I tried googling the answer, but found nothing. thanks! |

About why we process "old" data you can read some explanations here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=79949 Info about "acronyms" (jargon) we use on SETI@home forums: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=79990 Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |
