If Raistmer doesn't supply it to me, I can't distribute it to you. There is no dummy file for that file as I can recall. That's why it completely for advanced users. And omitted in installer. It should be created by hands when and if needed (only usable for multi-GPU setups of substantially different GPUs. Not needed in all other cases) |

- no sign of your 'AstroPulse_NV_config.xml' there. If Raistmer doesn't supply it to me, I can't distribute it to you. That way (empty file) it could be referenced indeed. I hope we tested existing but empty file... worth to check. SETI apps news We're not gonna fight them. We're gonna transcend them. |

For an XML file with a lot of structure, it would be better to supply a 'framework' file with all the structural elements but dummy (inactive) values. Ah - checked, that is in the package ReadMe, and in the AP_ATI installer v0.45 application-specific ReadMe. |

Now it's starting to compute...with cpu loading sitting on about 12 % (with one core reserved). Marco. |

Yes, this is link for host with nVidia 610M (Asus A55VD with an Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7) https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6883318 |

Hey Richard, you think that my new multi core beast would be a good candidate for this release? Especially since it doesn't have a GPU in it yet? Or better to hang back and see how things work out? Would there be much tweaking involved with getting it running? |

Hey Richard, you think that my new multi core beast would be a good candidate for this release? Especially since it doesn't have a GPU in it yet? Or better to hang back and see how things work out? Would there be much tweaking involved with getting it running? On the CPU side, there's no change since v0.44 - I don't think anybody is building CPU applications any more. As we established, 'SoG' stands for, near enough, 'Signals on GPU'. So without a GPU, there's nothing new there for you. But assuming you have AVX on those cores (but you won't, if you stick to Vista), that would have been well worth using. Edit - sorry, Vista was a different computer, different thread. Win 7 plus SP1 gets you AVX, if the hardware supports it. |

Ok, thanks, I will hang back for the time being, since it will be CPU only for the next couple weeks, and on this and a couple of my newer machines I'm running Win 7 all SP'ed up (Vista is pretty much for the Farm, as I have a large number of copies I acquired over 5 years ago just after 7 came out and ppl were dumping it like mad, for almost nothing), so am running AVX currently on this one. It's running the 3-4 degrees higher then the SSE3 version I had replaced it with after initially running it for 18 hours. Maybe after the 1080 shows up, we can talk a little more about it. |

This open beta OpenCL SoG seems to agree with My PNY LC 580, average time is now around 40 mins a wu, even for guppies, I had to switch to a newer driver than 335.23, so since I needed at least 347.xx(can't remember the exact one, sorry, I only saw it once), I installed 353.06 on Win 7 Pro sp1 x64, My RAC has since rebounded, though on the gpu, I'm using far more cpu time, like about 99%, instead of 4-10% as before. I'm doing 4 AVX's on the cpu and 2 SoG's on the gpu. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

If Raistmer doesn't supply it to me, I can't distribute it to you. Isn't that inconsistent with the way each of the other configuration and command line files are initially deployed? The whole setup is getting complicated enough without having to deal with inconsistent methodologies. |

Yes, this is link for host with nVidia 610M (Asus A55VD with an Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7) Max compute units: 1 Oh.... It's hard case. Even harder than GT720 I got little access some time ago to for usability testing. Lags are acceptable? EDIT: For low-performance GPU path use_sleep enabled with 5ms per iteration Perhaps 5ms per kernel call is too much and effectively disables computing on low-end GPUs. Try to add -use_sleep_ex 1 Will it improve situation and lower CPU load while allow some progress in processing? |

Anyone using a GTX750Ti? I would like to see what you are using for the cmdline.txt. I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

I would like to know also for 750Ti, so many different sttengs are being said, but no clue as to what works with what. |

Just a note, both my computers gave an "Invalid password error" when restarting BOINC after using installer, not sure if it's a new quirk or not. |

My AMD 4200 does not like this installer for CPU task :( I have tried SSE2 SSE3 but all are Computation Errors. And it was fine before. A bad result, and a good one from before: Outcome Computation error |

These settings suck on my 980Ti !!!!
