BOINC was released 14 years ago. 2002-04-10
SETI@home officially started using BOINC 12 years ago. 2004-06-22

Some of us have been going for 17 years since the project started in 1999.

Today marks my 17th and in order to celebrate I shall make a modest donation to the project. IMO if you want to be around for the 18th get your green star, the minimum is $10.

In same club thank you!

I remember using a K6-III and recall using silver ink to add a trace to CPU so two of them could be used in server motherboard to run two SETI units. Was a lot cheaper than buying the multi-cpu capable K6!
