One problem when very heavy rain lands on very dry soil is that the rain doesn't soak in it just runs off taking large quantities of top soil with it. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Well the rain is about out of there until next Saturday which we have at least a 3 day storm out there. Right now as of 8 PM we stand at 50.20 inches of rain for the season, my grandmother wasn't much taller than that. LOL Our flash flood is still up yet but should go down by morning. It will be nice to see some sunshine and I can get out and do some shopping. |

A bear called Francesco has awakened from lethargy in the Alpi Carniche, Friuli, because a hot February after a cold January. Temperature has risen to 17 C. He has a radio collar, so they can keep watch on him. He will descend in search of food and beehives, causing problems to the mountain people. Tullio |

I bet we will see a lot of that this year, my sister was saying yesterday that even the ducks and Robbins didn't even go that far south this year around her. We had a nice sunny day here which was nice for a change. |

Looks like it's going to be one hell of a spring in a lot of areas with all the flowers popping out early and you just know old man winter will be back for it's final good bye. seen that so many times in upstate New York and set back the growing season by a lot. It's been a wild ride for a lot of us, I'm just wondering what summer is going to dish out this year. Looks like we will end up with about 51 inches by the end of the month for the season. temp is 37ºF |

why is it when you get your first real nice day in weeks your pretty well sick in bed? Same reason it seems that the nicest days of the week fall on workdays. God has his ways, my friend. Hope you are up and about soon. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once."

Another cool damp morning here in the highlands as this easterly keeps up blowing coastal drizzle at us for the 3rd day in a row. :-( We kicked off at 14C here today and we're trying for a max of 21C, but we havn't done to well lately reaching our expected max's here, and currently it's still 14C as we wait for the wind to pick up. Cheers. |
