I am on the line with vet now....giving her final advice.
She is going to tell me to bring her in for her last rights.

I am NOT ready to go there yet, nor is Tigger II.

I have been there before, and I KNOW what is right for kitty.
For at least one more night, she shall sleep on my chest and be content, and know that she is so much loved.

She agrees with me. If possible, the best end point for Tigger is to die by my side, where she knows she is safe from any harm and can sleep in peace.

If things take a change, and Tigger needs a quick release from any suffering, she is there to provide that..............
And a true loving vet does not give that release easily.
But, she knows that Tigger's cancer has overtaken her body so much that Tigger cannot be a tigger much longer.

I actually thought she has passed last night.

This is Tigger's last day on this earth.
And that is not easy for me to say, but she is now almost done.

I can take her to the vet if she shows any sort of distress, which so far she has not. Her lifelong vet, Trishia Ewing, bless her soul. And the Appanasha Pet Clinic.
Who spent the last two hours on the phone consoling me and trying to talk me through this. Including the master vet, Trishia, who has a lot of better things to do. But, she was Tigger's vet. And they pulled her charts.
And they heard my tears. And talked to me for a long long time.

May God bless them..................they shall be my kitty vets forever.

My condolences to you Mark and the remaining kitties.
Tigger has gone to a better place and is no longer suffering.
Someday you will meet her again.

Let me tell you this much.........
I just talked to the Fox Valley Humane society.......and I am NOT ready to go there, just inquiring.
'
They currently have no 'two at a time needed' kitties, which is good.
They do have betwen 30 and 40 single kittens and elder cats that require love and attention. I might have to revise my wishes as per twin cats to adopt a couple more needy kitties,.

My strife over Tigger, I can get over. And adopting an elder cat that is boud to die sooner than a kitten.............well, I think by the times onmces, I can ger over the fact that they might pass away at some point.
NOt everybody will adopt an older cat.

That might just be my special calling in life. Elder cats.

At this time, I was advised that there were no kittens available.
No twins either. Just a lotra cats that need homes.
I sent another 50 dollars.

Meowsigh.

Message 1769337 - Posted: 3 Mar 2016, 22:10:35 UTC - in response to Message 1769271.

Reposting as it seems to be required now:

I dunno whether this will help, but, hey, it's what works for me:

I don't get too broken up when one of our cats goes over the rainbow bridge because:

... without us, they'd live half as long, sleep outdoors in the bitter winter, get fleas and rabies and scars from innumerable fights, starve most of the time, and live always in fear of when the next meal or threat will be.

... with us, their lives are filled with cuddles, kibbles, being brushed, twenty hours of catnaps some days, and their biggest fear is a smack or a squirt for ripping up the furniture.

So, knowing that their lives are so brief, when they go I am glad to have made their existence so much longer and happier than it would have been otherwise. If I got broken up about it I'd probably switch to turtles; they live a long time and aren't very cuddly.

You have two who need you more than ever, so keep well and think of them. And look for her somewhere warm.

What a wonderful thought. And so very true. Still, it's hard to say
goodbye.

Mike,

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Tigger.

It's not morbid to keep Tigger's body in the freezer if you really want
to bury her in the Spring. I don't know why you don't like the idea of
cremation, but it's what I prefer. I have all my pets cremated. That way
when I go, they can go with me. I don't know if I'll be in this house until
I die, but the thought of burying my beloved pets in the backyard and then
moving away bothers me, probably similar to how cremation bothers you.

Whatever you do, I know you will show Tigger the respect and love she
deserved.

As for adopting another cat or cats, I thing adopting a senior cat would
be a wonderful thing to do. It's so hard to find homes for them.

My vet just callen, and referenced me to this site.
As a way of saying goodbye.

She has, as Tigger's vet, actually called me a few times to see how she was doing since her last visit. This is vet who cares about Tigger.

I did not ask for the call.
There is no charge for the call.
Creature Comforts.........I have not been there yet, but she told me I might find some consolation fr my trouble with Tigger.

Plesse don't call me Mike or Michael again....I know you did not mean any harm.

My parents didn't want animals around, so I grew up without a pet, but about eleven years ago I adopted two rabbits, and last year, one died. I buried him in my mother's backyard because now that my mother is sick, and I have moved back in to take care of her, this will be the house I will stay in after she dies, and until I die. Suzie's concern about burial in a backyard is understandable, but cremation is just not something I'm interested in for my pets or myself.

I'm sorry for your loss, Mark. I know it's hard.

Anybody that wants validation of my life's contribution to the project can just click on the home page and see........contributors.

Any other questions bout my contributions can easily be answered bout the days when statistics were engine driven instead of by a simple queerie.

Or simply addressassed as belonging in the The days of Pooh Bear, to which Tigger derived her name from. under general use terms.

And simply put, trying to give me pain here dose you no good.
It rushes off my back like honey bees when I raid the combs.
They sting and bite a few times, but once I am gone, they just get on with life.
As you should too.
My life has been far too complex for ANY of your to understand or approve of.

Not a single ONE of you could possibly duplicate the step of my life since it counted with JJ. Not one of you was there, or on that kissy day with
My next kitty, whenever, shall be named either Pooh or Tigger.

And frankly, my life has been worth much more than I have been given credit for here.
Back to the life of Pooh bear.

If you want a description of that, How is it I understand and you do not?

My Tigger now needs every ounce of understanding, because her little mind has lost it's way now. She wants to get back to Pooh corner, but has expired somewhere along the way.

I want her back so much.

You can all say anything you want, I need Pooh kitty back.

Yes, I know she died. I cannot accept that just yet.

meow.

Mark, I am a bit confused. If Tigger has passed, my condolences.
You held my hand when Latte and Ziggy croseed over to the Rainbow Brigde together.
The loss of a pet is never easy, but I have a big heart with room for more. I am glad to read, that we are like minded.

Sorry about the confusion.
You would think that a man would know when his cat has died.
Tigger exhibited no signs of life when I posted same.
The dang gurl woke up (no diss to Tigger), and has confused me and the vet since.

She had NO pulse. NO signs of respiration. Therefore was declared DEAD.

And I slept on it. And then, she freaks me out by kissing my nose whilst I was asleep. My vet asked me pointed questions to assure she was indeed dead. Her damned body temperature had dropped 15 degrees.....ever stick a thermometer up your cat's arse??????? I did. And she did not move or otherwise respond.
15 degrees. A man usually cannot recover from that kind of deviation.

You have a problem with it? What kind of emotional roller coaster ride do you think I am on????

Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo....ring in Rod Serling....doo doo doo doo...your life is no longer yours...doo doo doo doo...there is a fine line between life and death...doo doo doo doo doo... and kitty has just taken you over that line...doo doo doo doo...to a place called..............the twilight zone.

I went to bed last night, and took what I REALLY thought was a toatally dead cat to my chest to hug her one last time. And then she coughed and spit up on me. Imagine MY surprise, if you can. This is a cat that hours earlier was declared and tested as dead....

I do not like to be called a liar or a man who cries wolf, but Jesus H. Freaking........this was HOURS later. Just now, even later, she rolls her big dark eyes at men as I roll outta bed to come and visit you.

I know now things that I never did before. The resiliancy of a cat that loves you and does not want to leave your side can defy even the Lord's call. Tigger has. I do know this is a one time blessing and cannot be repeated.....

Tigger has displayed true life after death. Dashing all the I had previously known and believed.

This is all whatever YOU wish to believe, but I am the one who tested kitty without a breath, without a pulse, and stuck a thermometer up her blessed kitty butt. These are what you DO before one declares the end of life.

She was most assuredly...clinically DEAD. And then, she kisses me in the middle of my sleep to tell me she was not, yet, ready to leave me.

I am very thankful for those last kisses, but Jesus.......Man....please do NOT screw with me like that again.

Kitties have 9 lives. This one has had at least 11...and the knob only goes to 10.

I found her. Way hidden underneath the kitchen table.

She is now going to spend whatever time she has left being cuddled and given all the love I have left to give her.

Tigger II's love is so precious. I have to go to her now.

God's gift of Tigger is running out.

I'll be back in a few days or whenever.
