Message 1786875 - Posted: 12 May 2016, 0:46:42 UTC - in response to Message 1786864.

Not trying to garner sympathy by any means, but now I've noticed a second
cat has gone missing. ...

Oh, not good news,

True, animals do like to "go hiding" when ill.

Could it possibly be that your neighbor is trapping any "stray" cat and turning them over to animal control without notifying you (or hopefully not doing anything worse to them)?

I have a great relationship with Animal Control. They always contact me whenever
they've picked up a cat in the area.

Maybe we have a budding, young serial killer in the neighborhood. Yes, I've
thought about that. :-(

I've noticed a couple of my intact males are gone, too. Perhaps there is a
female in heat not too far away and they've all gone to visit her. But
that wouldn't account for Gus. He's been neutered. Do some neutered cats
still react to females in heat?

I had a Neutered Cat, Baby just laid around, except for feeding time and da box, I had a female with Him, She was snipping His whiskers a lot and yes He was largely a blind cat with hip problems($900 to fix I was told, He was only 11yrs old too, on slick floors he'd do the splits, We didn't have too much more than $100, so He was put to sleep, this was back around 2001).

May God bless dear kitty.
My eldest was 18yo and counting when she passed.
I have two of her step sisters, now 14yo and counting.
I have to evaluate what exactly I am going to do for kitty companionship in the coming days.
I have not found a duo kitty pair that needs attention so far in my catual looking in the shelter sites.
That is my goal, to save two, that should not be separated, as I have the space now and more than enough love for two kitties.

If that opportunity does not present itself online, I shall have to present myself personally to the shelter and see who picks ME.

It is said the the best kitty matches are chosen by the CATS, not the intended owners.

I am getting closer to that point. Tigger II left me almost a couple of months ago now...still miss her dearly. The pain is NOT gone yet, never shall be, but............I feel an aching for some new kitty companionship in recent days.
There is an opening in my heart, which only a kitty can fill.

Meow.

EDIT...
And I still have to attend to getting some kitteh tombstones, which I promised them I would. I shall keep that promise to my dearly departed ones.

And to think it took Me 6 years to get Grace to stop that bad habit, but She has, I think.

Nice pic Suzie-Q. LOL

I used to have a cat that would play fetch with one of my green, wool, Army
socks. I'd sit on the couch and throw it back over my head, which would send
it down the hall. Dufus (the cat) would run after it and bring it back to me.
He also liked to play fetch with the bits of the Odor Eater insert I'd cut
off to fit the inserts into my boots. He was such a great cat. He and his
brother, Bubba, lived to be 19 years old. They traveled back and forth to
Germany with me twice.

Couple has their wedding at a cat sanctuary

One couple from Canada decided to have their wedding at quite a unique and unusual venue. Dominic Husson and Louise Veronneau, from Montreal, decided they wanted to get married at a cat sanctuary in California.

Their reason for it? They just love cats. The couple says its their love for animals that brought them together.

Their wedding is the first-ever at "Cat House on the Kings", a cage free, no kill cat sanctuary. The found admits she was nervous about the wedding until she saw how good the felines were with the bride and groom.

Of course there was some moments of adversity, nothing is ever purrr-fect if you will as you can imagine how difficult it may have been to pose for photos with a group of cats. Some had a little too much fun with the bride's dress, but the couple says it was a great wedding.

The 12-acre sanctuary has saved more than 24,000 cats and spayed or neutered more than 40,000 animals.

They have it all for kitties there.

Meowzone.

And this is important for all to understand....
