Wow! Puts my adoption effort in 2010 to shame, I only had to drive 220 miles then to adopt Grace.

One lucky kitten!
Watch: Fort Worth police rescue a kitten on Interstate 20 shoulder Friday afternoon
In a video posted by the Fort Worth Police Department, a white and brown tabby kitten is seen shrinking back near a grate and concrete barrier as police approach it. An animal control staff member then picks up the kitten and secures it in a crate.

Meet Midas the Four-Eared Kitten Who Is Winning Countless Hearts on the Internet
The unique cat was born with four ears due to a rare genetic mutation. The results are two small ears that are in front of the normal set you’d typically see on a cat. But what’s even more unusual is that each ear is functional! Dosemeci had Midas examined by a veterinarian who said that all four of the earlaps are connected to the ear canal.

A temp home at best, the dish will be moved once the house is built, at least that's what I get from the article,
Grace has a nice warm and 72" tall cat tree that she likes and that I assembled.

What’s new, pussycat? How feline film stars are trained to perform

From Stuart Little and Pet Sematary to new movie The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, cats can be scene-stealers.
But how do you get such fickle and independent creatures to behave on camera?

Kittens are running wild.’ Horde of feral cats takes over California stadium
Feral cats are “having a field day” at the Oakland Coliseum after the absence of humans during the coronavirus pandemic boosted their numbers, officials said.

“And the kittens are running wild,” Henry Gardner, executive director of the Coliseum Authority, which oversees the facility, wrote in a memo, The San Francisco Chronicle reported.

“The good news is the rat population has decreased substantially,” Gardner wrote.

Meet The Most Cherished Regular At Cary’s Lounge In West Ridge: Mel The Bar Cat
Cary’s Lounge’s most popular regular doesn’t drink. But he does kill rats.

Mel, a middle-aged fluffball with a killer’s instinct, has patrolled Cary’s Lounge, since the bar’s owner, Peter Valavanis, brought him on in 2017.

“He’s our head of security,” Valavanis said. “And he’s got one good fang left.”

“You hear of guard dogs,” said Everitt, 68. “This is a guard cat.”
‘Guard cat’ credited with preventing would-be robbery
A Mississippi man said his pet cat helped prevent a robbery at his home, and he credits the calico with possibly saving his life.

Bandit, a 20-pound cat, lives with her retired owner Fred Everitt in the Tupelo suburb of Belden. When at least two people tried to break into their shared home last week, the cat did everything she could to alert Everitt of the danger...

I'm sorry about this, but it looks like the Polish have come to the same conclusion as we here down under have and why others should follow.

Why cats are an invasive alien species — and what to do about it.

Cheers.
