I received a request to open a new thread. Please stay civil.

A year ago, I had to send Ziggy over the Rainbow Bridge along with his lifelong companion Latte. Evenso right now I have tears in my eyes, I am able to cherish the many happy years they have chosen to spend with us.

Please continue to share pictures and stories about our present or past cat companions.

I think the cat was knocking it off and someone reversed the video.

Yes, and I can't decide if it would have been a better picture not reversed. I tried adding punctuation and added the post again by mistake. Oh well.

Here's Grace, 48" above the Kitchen countertop, She can jump 50" straight up and has feet 2 fingers wide and weighs about 16lbs, She's 8yrs old now, I've had Her for about 6yrs, sometimes She sleeps next to Me, I think She's going blind, since I don't think She can tell the wet litter from the dry corn litter anymore, even in day light, so to cover up the stuff I sometimes have to do the honors with a scoop that came with the box, Her box is automated, I just empty the bin once a week and add some more Worlds Best Litter, one 7lb bag lasts about 2 months, My next purchase of the corn based multi cat formula litter will be on May 1st. Littermaid recommends corn based cat litter for their boxes, not clay or wood.

You may, Harry, and thank you so much.

I have not had the heart to post much lately. Work keeps my hands busy, but not my mind. I am still on the verge of tears, and beyond, a few times a day at work. And yet, I have had a few moments to smile for.

Tigger II is still with me, and has actually had some very delightful and spirited days as of late.
No diminishing of the swollen glands, but no dramatic increase either. It is just a day by day thing now, with the inevitable coming unchecked. The cancer is not going to go away.

She is a 'kitty on steroids'...literally. They are the only thing keeping her going, and with that kind of support her crash shall most likely be swift and sure when it comes. I asked the vet this morning to order her some more Prednisolone, but instead of the nasty cherry cough syrup stuff she has on hand, I asked her to send the prescription to Roadrunner Pharmacy, that special pet medicine pharmacy, so that they could formulate it for Tigger in a more palatable form.....something with tuna flavor perhaps. I should hear from them tomorrow.

She is, by the grace of the steroids, maintaining her appetite and activity levels so far. And zooms down the hall from the bedroom to the kitchen to meow her demands for her canned kitty food treats, although a little raspy her meow is these days. Within which I conceal her herbal cancer support kitty meds.

When I was getting ready for work a couple of days ago, she decided to race into the bathroom and jump into the tub (empty) and do a few laps...LOL. Which she has never done before. But, the girl also pooped outside of the litterbox a couple of times in the last week. Which she has never done before either.
Of course, I did not scold her.
She also has been coming to me whilst I sit here on the couch in front of the monitor and without hesitation jumping up on my lap or just sitting beside me smiling...kitties DO smile....for a few well deserved pettings, or just to sit there with me...and that has been priceless.

But most of all right now, and the only thing that broke me out of my heartbreak long enough to post now, was that I wanted to thank Harry (Hairy) for his wonderful and insightful post. He is obviously a man who understands. His BVSc training has done him well, and through my tears I wish to thank him sooooooooooo much for his kind post.

A very kind breather from the posts of someone WITHOUT such understanding, who only managed to drive me further into despair with his very unkind words.

Thank you Mark for the update on Tigger.

This part of your post made my day:
...she decided to race into the bathroom and jump into the tub (empty) and do a few laps...

Here's a short YouTube Video to share with Tigger :)

My friends...........
I like to think that I was the one who brought cats to Seti.....
I certainly had something to do with making Cats cool here.

I certainly recall a time when it was not so......

I told everybody that is was cool to be a cat, and so the onslaught occurred.

Cats were just my early experience then....

I had two early on, just a couple tossed upon my bed by a GF....
Tigger and Squirrel.

Tigger...........the original Tigger...died after a long battle with CRF, and my story was written in stone at that point.
Squirrel, her sister, passed a couple of years ago after a fine long life.

What happened between twixt the two, was I became a Setizen.

Timelines are not my thing, but about the time I became Seti aware was also about the time I became kitty aware.

I was very shy at first, and the kitties were nowhere on the boards then.

I am not sure that I recall the moment that my kitties became an item on the forums. Or my joining in. It probably started with a single comment and grew from there. I am not sure when my first 'meow' came about....LOL.

I thank all of you who have contributed to the wonderful understanding that the Seti boards have given to kitties since that moment, whenever it came.

I am now dealing with a failing one, and that, for me, is the hardest thing I shall face in the coming days. Being a kittyman, I have observed and cried for, the passing of many other kitties here on Seti.
As well as a few joyful times, such as the miracle of ES's wonderful return of her dear kitty after so many months gone missing. I think her joy was perhaps only second to my own when hearing the news of Suaron's return.

My grief of one of my own's impending departure after so long, I am sad and yet relieved to share here, as this is my forum, and my marker in time for so many years as well. Thank you to those who understand, and a pox on those who somehow cannot understand the love.
The two I have left after this ordeal, Purrball and Bandit, love you anyway.

Best wishes and kitty kisses,
Mark

Just keep her happy, thats all you can do.

It can be a long hard road and I do not know what is worse - the wait or the ending.

Just make sure that you have one or two close friends near that can offer you assistance when its needed.

Kitten with mustache found abandoned in donation bin

FRESNO, Calif. - A little feline, known as "Mustache Kitten," was found abandoned in a donation bin at a Salvation Army in downtown Fresno, California.

The kitten, also called Sally Ann, has a pattern around its mouth in the shape of a perfect mustache... a cat-stache!
