I have not had any changes to the computer in over 5 years, it was humming along just fine until the "Web Outage" I even tried removing boinc and doing a fresh install. Still no joy |

I've not received any work since about 19FEB. I understand a data server crashed and that it was back online within days yet I'm high and dry. I also read that v7 work units would be ending. How does one verify what version of S@home he is actually running. I see version numbers in the boinc_client and boinc manager but these don't reference any seti versions? Also, when running headless machines, how might I check on the progress of headless machines from a ssh session? thanks ElectronHerder Birmingham, AL |

In BOINC Manager you may need to switch to the advanced view. Then from the tasks tab there is an Application column that has the version number of the application. Also you can look at the list of tasks assigned to the machine on the website, if running stock applications, to see the application version. On a headless machine you can use the output from boinccmd, either --get_state or --get_tasks, to get the status of running tasks. Have you amended your SETI@Home preferences (from Account on the website) to say that you'll run SETI@Home v8? If not, you won't receive any v8 tasks, and that's all they're sending out at the moment. |
