I have installed BOINC on a new iMac.

BOINC and seti@home ran for about two days on the new machine but since Friday (12 Feb 2016 at 14:59:44 UTC) seti@home has refused to acknowledge its attempts to communicate. Each time it attempts to communicate it comes back with "Communication deferred 24:00:00", with nothing at the other end to indicate that anything has been received.

On Saturday morning I uninstalled BOINC and then reinstalled it, to no avail.

I let it run the 24 hour deferment from Saturday 19.30 to Sunday 19.30 but this evening, when the 24 hours expired and it tried to communicate, it simply deferred communication for another 24 hours. Again there is nothing at the other end to indicate anything was received.

I have reset the project but that has simply eliminated work units.

This does not seem to be a general problem (I have 3 unix boxes and two other macs all of which are running seti@home happily, most of them through the same router as the new iMac) and I am perplexed as to what could be causing the problem.

Any help greatly appreciated.
