Without the colonial period of history things would be quite different today and I doubt that it would be for the better. It's not right now but in the context of it's time it was inevitable. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

Should be shut down just for this , f-ing dirty nonces!!! Ah yes, the no person should be able to exchange information with another person without the government reading it, thought process. Ask the people in the DPRK how that works out, Oh wait, you can't! I don't think a BORG collective is for humanity. Now the persons who are exchanging that particular kind of information should simply be turned over to ISIL for judgement and punishment. I suspect they will have some fourth century method of making sure the person does not become a repeat offender. |

A Danish politician who tried to post a photo of Copenhagen's iconic Little Mermaid statue on Facebook was told it could not be published because of nudity rules. http://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-news-from-elsewhere-35221329 Are the Facebook people for real? There are many more examples of this silly behaviours from american companies operating in Europe imposing us to have some high moral standard never known to mankind. It so happens that Facebook has a facility located at Luleå Sweden serving all European Facebook users in Europe mostly paid by our taxpayers including me. I suggest that Facebook could go elsewhere!!! Den lille havfrue:) |

Without the colonial period of history things would be quite different today and I doubt that it would be for the better. It's not right now but in the context of it's time it was inevitable. It depends on who you think its better for. For those of white European descent, its better. Not so sure how it worked out for everyone else. Reality Internet Personality |

So some lawyer being over cautious says, no mountains, no fur. It is a bright line standard. Beauty and art is in the eye of the beholder, just like smut is in the mind of the thinker. |

Isn't it interesting. That most of the Former British Colonies, and Subjugated Peoples, have no present animosity toward the UK. Glad you noticed. Even after they, using the example of invading their sovereign soil, and burning down their Capital (Washington D.C.). Well you shouldn't have invaded Canada. |

Or rather, Napoleon's (reported) need for some quick cash... Keep in mind the Louisiana Territory was sold is Napoleon could get some money to pay troops/debts. (This is what I remember of a High School lesson from 20 years ago...) Now consider what might have happened if he definitively won, afterward. |

I just read the first post in this thread. I wonder if that American thinks three meals a day are too many for citizens in such a hot country? Why next those people will be expecting permission to travel out side of their own borders.... edit: Rant off, I feel better now... |
