Tut, Do you have a second 980 with which to run concurrent with the first? I found on multi GPU platform I couldn't get it over 3 work units per card before lock up.(lack of CPU resources) |

Tut, Do you have a second 980 with which to run concurrent with the first? I think it has to do with cpu_lock option. We are testing it atm. Stay tuned. Please post link to particular host. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Tut, Do you have a second 980 with which to run concurrent with the first? CPUlock not active on NV by default. |

I will add -cpu_lock to the command line, when I come home from work this afternoon, and let it run with that for a week or so, no other command line options changed. Since I only run 2 CPU tasks on the CPU (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K, I guess that option will be able to tie each of the 4 GPU tasks to their own core. I will not accept AP's even if they become available during this test run. |

Not to hijack the thread, but I figured the folks here would know, is cpu_lock available on the Mac version of the apps? I can't seem to make it work when I add it to my Mac ATI configuration file. Other options work fine, but for whatever reason cpu_lock gets ignored. Just curious. Thanks, Chris |

is cpu_lock available on the Mac version of the apps? Currently it implemented only for Windows OS AFAIK. |

If you are unsure check the readme that came with the OS X app. It will tell if an option is not available on an other platform than windows. _\|/_ U r s |

Don't think there was a readme file associated with it (from crunchers anonymous) Assumed, incorrectly lol, that the readme file was the same across platforms... Thanks! Chris |

Hmm... Maybe that -cpu_lock is a little bit faster on my system. Hard to say, because after I changed over to -cpu_lock, the WUs i received after that, was not representative of those I had crunched before. It was mostly near VLARs, which of course dropped my daily production of around 400 WUs, to more like 250 or so. Now though, there seems to be a more "normal" mix of ARs coming down the tube. I'll keep doing MB only though, until the next AP run. The one we just had seems to have come to an end now. |

Geeze, a WU true angle range of: 174.778084 I think that's one of the highest AR's I have ever seen. https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=4726601137 |

Geeze, a WU true angle range of: 174.778084 Hm.... is it possible to move telescope focus fast enough to create such AR ?... |

Geeze, a WU true angle range of: 174.778084 Well I don't know. It was an interesting crunch though. The progress didn't move beyond 0.133% (Edit:or was it 0.0133) for more than 10 minutes, it was stuck at that percentage. The task went into high priority, when "time left" became unbearably high. I think the time left then went as high as one year or so (maybe even 10 years, I don't remember, I should have taken a screenshot). Then all of a sudden, it just went from 0.133% (Edit:or was it 0.0133) to 100%, and finished just fine :-) Interesting WU, to say the least. |

Dumb question, and my bad if I missed it in the thread, but what exactly does SoG stand for? Thanks! |

Tx for the quick answer! Do you (or anyone else ) know if this is/will be an option in Lunatics? |
