On ground hog day Bruderheim Blinky
saw his shadow, to-day I saw the first
Canadian Geese winging their way north
high up over our town. This is the very
earliest that I ever seen them on migration.
Some of you may remember that just last
December I reported that LSM and I saw
two Snow Geese making their way south.
If winter is over, this is a warmer El Nino
than the one in 1996/97!

Early this morning I heard Blackbirds singing when walking the dog.
I think normally they start to do it in mid April.

They wanted to see the Polar Ice Cap before in melts............":|.

It's not that Climate Change doesn't exist.......it's just that it's the height of arrogant folly to believe that humanity can do anything to stabilize it as long as there are over 8 Billion of us living here........

7.4 Billion is the correct amount of people living on Earth according to a Bing search that I did...

Thank you for you kind thoughts.

Update: Sissy is doing better today. The doctor told me this morning that she
will try to get Sissy to eat something today. If she continues to improve and
if she eats, she will be able to come home tomorrow. I'll call again today
before the clinic closes for another update.

Poor baby. To have to go through all that because of my ignorance. I feel
horrible, but I thank God that she's pulling through.

Thank you all for your prayers and thank you to those of you who have donated.
It has helped a lot.

And I just got thru with a cold bug that has been going around here, still coughing, though last night was a bit better than the previous night.

@ Suzie: I hope everything will turn out for the best.

So sorry, Grant.

Here is an update on Sonny and Sissy:

Sonny is running around like he was never even sick, but Sissy has
not been so lucky. Her symptoms have been much worse than Sonny's.
On Tuesday morning she started having seizures. The vet told me to
bring her in immediately. They had a very hard time getting a blood
sample, but when they finally did, it showed her blood glucose count to be
30. One hundred is normal. She was close to death. She was hospitalized
and given fluids with sucrose. (I guess it was sucrose. It was some form
of "sugar.")

This morning I called the vet who told me she was doing much better, but
she's still not out of the woods. She's still passing a lot of blood through
her stool. (Not really stool, just blood. Sorry.)

Thanks to some wonderful and much-appreciated donors, I am able to deal with
the financial burden. I can think about Sissy getting better instead of
worrying how to pay for things. Because of the hospitalization, I have
increased my gofundme goal to $500. (It was at $300.)

If you feel inclined to donate, the URL is https://www.gofundme.com/sonnyandsissy.
If you can't (or don't want to) donate, that's okay, too. If you pray,
please do that for Sissy.

Thank you all for your friendship, caring, and love. You have mine.

Hawk went for some fast food takeout dinner.

We both feel very fortunate to have seen
such a sight. From the time the pidgins
flocked up to the time the hawk was able
to cut out it's meal was less than a minute.
It was beautiful, and then it was so efficiently
murderous all at the same time, wow.

LSM and I just watched a hawk take on a flock
of pidgins on our way back from the shops. The
pidgins, or one of them lost the day....
