One has to ask - Is this isolated to one station, or force?

Might be. Or more likely one of the few that made the news.

I seen on the news the other day that they found 13 Bald Eagles killed in the state of Washington. (stupid or what)

I've seen speculation the cause may have been a poison bait set out for nuisance animal control........I don't care HOW MUCH of a nuisance a creature is, poison is never an acceptable answer even with vermin. If an animal cannot be dispatched with as little suffering as possible it should not be done.

I hope you understand that the Lord above gave us and instructed us to eat those animals placed upon this earth for such a thing.

I have no problem with hunting to eat. It is just the mindless killing of God's creatures that I have a problem with. Ted Nugent hunts to eat. We are friends, and conservators of Gods gifts. I do hope that some of you can draw that line.
Because I can.

The shooting of Cecil the lion is knife edge point in case.
It was tragic indeed, but the case has been made since, that the culling of the lion population in Africa is indeed needed and necessary. And the fact the this particular lion had a name tag was the only reason things came about as they did.

Why and how that is trusted to OUR species to do so is a question I am not yet prepared to answer./

I do fish but it's catch and let go. I have been doing that for 25 years.

I haven't hunted in 40 years at all D.G.

Absolutely. I strongly agree on both points.

As a former bird hunter(can't walk the fields anymore) I feel there is a special level in hell reserved for those who willfully murder innocent creatures without reason or mistreat them in any case. In 40 years of hunting I can state proudly that no fowl harvested by me were wasted and all were very much appreciated and admired. The same goes for fish which I still 'hunt' and enjoy.

The shooting and killing of a goose is one thing (it sounds as if that goose died "instantly"), but the leaving a bird maimed with a dart sticking through its neck is totally abhorrent - my grandfather was a game keeper, his rule when shooting at an animal make sure you kill it with the first shot, if you can't be sure of that then don't pull the trigger".

My concern with the goose is why didn't they take it away and have a good meal? There are only a few reasons to kill an animal, for food, it is vermin being the two most obvious, "sport" and "fun" are off the bottom of the list.
