Yes in the USA. They ban fireworks [some places], so there are no fire crackers to set off, but after all the news years booze, noise must be made, so out comes the semi-auto noise maker. City centers. Rural areas. Everywhere there are people. What goes up, comes down. Every year people die. Matters not. Noise must be made!

They are shocking statistics. I would only expect that many casualties if there was a war.

There was a war last year in Nagorno Karabakh and there was just over 6,000 deaths.

The countries concerned were Ahmenia and Azerbaijan. For those that don't know where that is. It is the space between Turkey and Iran in the south and Georgia and Russia in the North.

The unusual suit is expected to be filed in U.S. federal court in Boston, since some of the manufacturers are headquartered in Massachusetts, according to the documents. The suit — which seeks unspecified financial compensation from the companies — does not target the U.S. government.

Mexican authorities believe U.S.-made weapons have fueled the explosive violence that has transformed parts of the country over the past decade. Around 2.5 million illicit American guns have poured across the border in that time period, according to a Mexican government study released last year. Legal gun sales in Mexico are tightly restricted.
