WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- A shooting at a house party in West Covina left one male dead and three others wounded Friday night, authorities said.

Officers responded to the 300 block of North Hollow Avenue at about 10:29 p.m. at a house used as an apparent Airbnb rental.

They found three juveniles in the backyard wounded, one fatally, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Two of the victims suffered gunshot wounds to the legs and were transported to a hospital. Another victim, a female juvenile, was driven to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the leg.

The organization estimates that 95% of school kids – some as young as five – are now trained on what to do during an active shooter situation because they have to be prepared for it at any minute, in any community.

If you want a real answer ... some years ago the ugly socialist extreme left liberal [feel free to fill in more negatives] SCOTUS decided that crazy people have a god given, er constitutional, right to be bat guano crazy and they can't be forcefully medicated. Most if not all societal woes flow from that decision.

Back when America was great those crazy's were locked up in psych wards, medicated and sometimes given shock treatment. Not a pretty sight. So "do gooders" pushed an agenda to have the treatment facilities closed. McCarthy commie haters joined as they hated gulags. It worked, psych wards closed. Now the crazy is out there with the average joe.

I'll leave it to you to decide if it is the crazies buying the guns or the average joe who feels the need to protect himself from the crazy buying the guns. In any case guns are flying off the assembly line.

A shooting occurred at a mall in Torrance Monday and one person was struck by gunfire, police said.

The shooting occurred in the 3500 block of Carson Street at Del Amo Fashion Center just before 3 p.m., Torrance police said. The shooter was described as a 20-25-year-old with a shaved head, wearing a black shirt and checkered shorts.

At least one person was shot, the Torrance Police Department said. There were no additional known shooting victims according to police.

The Torrance Fire Department confirmed that it was responding to the report of a shooting at the mall and said that one person was taken to an area hospital.

Thank you moomin and you are 100% correct. It's not a US problem it's a world problem, it's not a gun problem, it's a mental health problem.

It's a small step for some from eliminating life in the womb and eliminating life in a school, or theater, or shopping mall, or concert venue. And the perpetrators believe they are entitled to do so because of whatever grievance they have against who or whatever.

Boxcutters are used, Commercial Airliners are used, trucks(lorries) are used, knives are used, radioactive poisons are used, hammers are used and guns are used. Just another tool in the bag to a psychotic.
