Missouri teen shot by homeowner after going to wrong house
April 17 (Reuters) - A Missouri teenager was shot and wounded by a homeowner after the boy mistakenly went to the wrong house to pick up his siblings, police said.

Ralph Yarl, a Black 16-year-old, was recovering in hospital on Monday with gunshot wounds to the head and arm after he knocked on the door of the wrong house just before 10 pm on Thursday, according to his family's lawyers and police.
...
The teenager’s parents asked him to pick up his twin siblings at an address on 115th Terrace in Kansas City, but he mistakenly went to a residence on 115th Street where he was shot, police and local media reported.
...
Missouri's stand-your-ground law says a person cannot use deadly force unless they reasonably believe that deadly force is necessary to protect themselves or another person against death or serious physical injury or a forcible felony.

... Are there desperately so many guns and idiots that most of the USA are gun twitchy and nervously perpetually on a "hair trigger"?

That's certifiably not healthy.

Only in the USA?

Stay safe?...

Almost a replica of the previous case, but this time deadly and for less reason.

Kaylin Gillis: Woman shot dead in New York state after friend pulled into wrong driveway
A man has been charged with second-degree murder in the US after he allegedly shot and killed a 20-year-old woman as the car she was in mistakenly drove up the man's driveway.
Kaylin Gillis was with three other people in New York state on Saturday.
They accidentally drove into the driveway of Kevin Monahan in the town of Hebron, police say.
As the driver was leaving, Mr Monahan, 65, allegedly opened fire on the vehicle, hitting Ms Gillis.

Doing the right thing, but intended stupidity will likely overrule it.

Go Mexico. Stop U.S. firearm manufacturers' support of Mexican drug cartels.

Commentary: US companies must be held accountable for gun violence in Mexico.

Fox, gun nutters and Republicans receive some bad news. How will they react?

‘Is It Time For Republicans to Pivot?’ Fox Reacts to Poll Finding Americans OVERWHELMINGLY Back Gun Laws.

A new Fox News poll offered some stunning takeaways on Americans’ views of gun restrictions, which appear to fly in the face of much of the punditry on the network.

One of the key takeaways from the poll published Thursday night was the finding that 61 percent of Americans surveyed are in favor of banning all assault weapons, while only 45 percent of Americans believe more citizens carrying guns is a solution to lowering gun violence.......
