The cost of USA-style 'celebrations':

A BULLET HIT MY AIRPLANE!

That is one very expensive hit...

And a reminder that guns are not toys...

If you are going to get upset, get upset about something with consequences.
https://abc30.com/woman-hit-in-head-stray-bullet-shot-fresno-shootings-gunfire/9255480/

In a built up area!!?

... "Once those guns start going off, the bullets are going to come back down. People need to understand that," said Lt. Stephen Viveros with the Fresno Police Department.

Lt. Viveros said the police department will be examining that ShotSpotter information and serving search warrants at homes where gunshots were fired on New Year's. The tech can pinpoint where the gun was fired from...

What next? The NRA and guns lobbies set up new franchises for bullet proof roofing and bullet proof hats, all for extra profits?...

Or better:

    1: Get rid of the guns;

2: Get rid of the big ammunition.

Only in the USA?
Martin

Yes in the USA. They ban fireworks [some places], so there are no fire crackers to set off, but after all the news years booze, noise must be made, so out comes the semi-auto noise maker. City centers. Rural areas. Everywhere there are people. What goes up, comes down. Every year people die. Matters not. Noise must be made!

Guns needed in Tuscon

Always thought Tucson used to be in Arizona, according to Google maps, it still is ;-) But UPI says Tesxas. Have looked on Google maps, for any reference to Tucson in Texas, but nothing.

Guns needed 915 times last week.
That translates into a shooting every 12 minutes

They are shocking statistics. I would only expect that many casualties if there was a war.

There was a war last year in Nagorno Karabakh and there was just over 6,000 deaths.

The countries concerned were Ahmenia and Azerbaijan. For those that don't know where that is. It is the space between Turkey and Iran in the south and Georgia and Russia in the North.

Mexico to sue U.S.-based gunmakers over flow of arms across border.
MEXICO CITY — The Mexican government said Wednesday it plans to file legal action against several major U.S.-based gun manufacturers, alleging that lax controls contribute to the illegal flow of weapons over the border, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post.

The unusual suit is expected to be filed in U.S. federal court in Boston, since some of the manufacturers are headquartered in Massachusetts, according to the documents. The suit — which seeks unspecified financial compensation from the companies — does not target the U.S. government.

Mexican authorities believe U.S.-made weapons have fueled the explosive violence that has transformed parts of the country over the past decade. Around 2.5 million illicit American guns have poured across the border in that time period, according to a Mexican government study released last year. Legal gun sales in Mexico are tightly restricted.

he lawsuit maintains that the U.S. arms manufacturers “are conscious of the fact that their products are trafficked and used in illicit activities against the civilian population and authorities of Mexico,” according to a document from the Foreign Ministry.

Kids in the U.S. need more guns to be left out for them.
