Wow, you say that's my thought process? Wow, you certainly should be prevented from owning a gun, any gun, you're dangerous!

Typical response when losing the Intellectual Discussion.

Very SAD

No, very sad when with no thoughts of their own, one attempts to see things that where never there.

Clyde, how's it goin' eh?
Tell me, what is the intellectual basis
for killing children. Where is your heart?
Are you sure your not one of them disenchanted
patriots who has seen the other side and can't
see your self in it? You are cop, you should
know better! Would you like some help, perhaps
a free pass to nirvana?

edit:
I agree with you, you need more guns, and better border guards!

Those equating Individual Freedoms. With the Freedom to Rape and Murder. Have always been the Scourge of Humanity.

Well, it finally happened in my backyard, so to speak. I was planning a trip into Orlando this afternoon to look at a handicapped equipped van I might buy but decided to stay home today.

You can't blame this one on gun laws as this person was a security guard and had a concealed weapons permit. Makes me wonder how many sleeper cells there are around the world just waiting for the call to action.

Islamic State is claiming responsibility, the gunman claimed to be Islamic state, he had permits to own firearms, yes somehow you bunch of jerks who haven't yet posted any sympathies to the victims are bitching about the second amendment. Seems to me as if you wish to revel in as much hate as Islamic State offers. Go live under them!

Act of terrorism

Nope. An act of the US government's refusal to
pass good law. Of course it seems very likely
to happen in a place where Santa Clause is classed
as a God, and every one hates their neighbors!
I believe that they should be allowed to kill all
of themselves off, then they would have an example
of true freedom to display to the whole world.
It seems a shame, I know a great many of them and
they seem like very nice people to me.....

edit:
That way the folks who take over down there will have lots of room to get thing started up again.....

"Mr Mateen's father told NBC News his son became very angry when he saw two men kissing recently in Miami."

So the horrific murder of 19 women who refused to be raped doesn't upset them but 2 guys kissing does?

"Mateen purchased multiple guns in the past few days, the FBI spokesman said.

When asked why Mateen was able to purchase a gun given the fact he was on the FBI radar for terror links, the spokesman answer he was able to do so because the investigations were closed."

It's also been stated that he used an assault weapon. Does a "concealed weapon permit" cover those? I think not.

Listen to that news conference again. It was "a long gun."

Okay, SO does a concealed permit allow more than one gun to be concealed?

Depends on the permit, some get specific to the S/N they allow, others as much as you can carry.

Now do you have some information that he concealed the weapon he used? It is a bit hard to do that with a long gun.

Sorry Gary, had you checked, you would have seen I replied to Bob.

However, to answer your question, I do not have any info other that what has been stated in the reports.

An earlier report on the BBC did in fact state an assault weapon was used.
