It's a problem with weapon laws when they are not obeyed.
Especially when it comes to military weapons.
Who needs an assault rifle if not to kill another person?

And then we have the other ones that have a pistol/revolver at home.
Children that get hold of them and sometimes kill there own parents!
I was one of them playing with my dads service pistol together with my sister...

I believe, and History Instructs: ALL Power will turn evil.

Therefore, Individual Freedom is Paramount. Even if chaos erupts.

A few decades of any Benevolent Power, protecting 'The People' from themselves, is meaningless. It will always turn evil.

We agree, I'm guessing. To disagree.

I agree you have the right to disagree but I also have the right to disagree too and therefore I right to question what you say

No Man is Benevolent unless your the "Q"

Living in the past means understanding it . It's also your culture to reject violence and weapons . Towns , city's , made off limits by sheriffs and that was before Assault rifles ??

Why have the police or a sheriff anyway if it's every man for himself witch it's becoming . You can't pay for police if there's no money

Benevolent Power, protecting 'The People' from themselves, is meaningless

So reject democracy. Some small groups become big ones if they can arm with military weapons and some , you have civil war so the masses having easy access to weapons become a very real threat and for silly things ....ergo the rioting in some places . I mean silly when you compere them to a civil war in terms of body count

Greetings Clyde,

The guy's a troll, ignore him. All he wants to do is slam our country probably because it is the youngest on the planet. Older thinks they're better. Sometimes they are, sometimes not. I posted earlier some "proof" of how well gun control / banning works. It doesn't.

Don't play into his diatribes.

Keep on BOINCing...! :)

No right to carry concealed weapons in public

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Dealing a blow to gun supporters, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday that Americans do not have a constitutional right to carry concealed weapons in public.

In a dispute that could ultimately wind up before the Supreme Court, a divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said local law enforcement officials can place significant restrictions on who is allowed to carry concealed guns.

By a vote of 7-4, the court upheld a California law that says applicants must cite a "good cause" to obtain a concealed-carry permit. Typically, people who are being stalked or threatened, celebrities who fear for their safety, and those who routinely carry large amounts of cash or other valuables are granted permits.

Put your feet into the shoes of a kidnapper, would you target me or Matt LeBlanc, in the hope of extorting cash or having 15 mins in the news.

I included the SAN FRANCISCO in the quote to indicate it only applied in CA, and if people read the link they will get more info on that.

Your comments that I don't understand that there are 50 states each with their own laws in getting a bit F___ING tiresome.

Wouldn't the bank manager be included in those that handle large cash and valuables category.

janne...

GOOD POINT!

Therefore. When speaking of The USA. Its Laws, Culture, Political System, etc. Europeans must understand (but they don't), the similarities.

Unfortunately... The EU is just a rehash of our failed Articles of Confederation.

Good luck regarding Brexit.

We, the Europeans, don't even understand what the EU is:)
I have this feeling that we know more of the US Laws, Culture, Political System then of the EU's.
Especially about the Second Amendment that will never happen here.
Why is a weapon law written in a nation's constitution?
At the time yes, but now when you have the largest army in world.
Makes no sense to us.

Brexit is only one of the signs that the EU is about to fall apart.
Finland as well and they call it Fixit:)

Snort. The anti-gun people have made sure that the only people who can get the permit are retired law enforcement or sitting or retired judges. No one else has sufficient reason.
