You need concrete and inert masses to keep cars out of places where they don't belong.

Looks like the parking lots are located less than two meters from the shop front; almost the same level... no barrier.

It's a ID4, a full electric. He was probably just looking for a place to plug in and didn't have a long extension cord.

Maybe the improved ID4 with thin solar cells on the roof.

Only in Norway, at this time of year... you need a really bright room for it to be effective.

Anyone want to buy a 'slightly dented' car?
Train Obliterates Car-Hauling Semi in Texas — No Injuries Reported
A quiet Sunday morning in Schertz, Texas, turned chaotic after a freight train barreled into an 18-wheeler loaded with vehicles, scattering debris and shutting down roads for hours. The crash happened just after 10 a.m. at Schertz Parkway and FM 78, where the semi ended up stalled across the tracks with no time to clear out before the westbound train struck.

Despite the violent impact, no injuries were reported—an outcome that easily could have gone the other way. The train remained upright on the rails, but several of the vehicles on the hauler were crushed, flung, or mangled in the collision. Witnesses described the hit as sounding “like an explosion,” with pieces of cars thrown across the roadway.

Chicago delivery robot crashes into bus stop, shattering glass
You know that moment when your GPS confidently guides you into a dead-end alley? A Serve Robotics delivery bot just had that experience with a CTA bus shelter in Chicago’s West Town, except instead of awkward three-point turns, it shattered glass across Grand Avenue’s sidewalk.

The viral footage shows the autonomous courier literally shaking off shards like a confused metal turtle, turning what should’ve been a routine food delivery into neighborhood cleanup duty.

This crash lands amid Chicago’s growing anti-robot uprising. The “No Sidewalk Bots” petition has gathered over 3,600 signatures from residents tired of dodging delivery rovers on their morning commutes. Their slogan cuts straight to the point: “Chicago sidewalks are for people, not delivery robots.”

Injured man, 54, survives three days in rural NSW creek after vehicle rollover.

A western NSW man has survived three days stranded in the bush after a vehicle rollover left him injured and trapped in a rural creek.
Police say the crash is believed to have occurred sometime on Monday when the car flipped down the muddy embankment.

The driver was able to remove himself from rapidly sinking vehicle, which became submerged, but could not climb back up to the road due to his injuries.
The man, who was the sole occupant, was also unable to access his phone to call emergency services, which was left in the car.

The driver was taken to hospital and has lost his driving licence.
But why? There's clearly snow hoar frost on the road. So, the driver isn't to blame. The municipality failed to clear the roads, that is.

Wrong - the driver was driving too fast for the prevailing conditions.

How Did This Happen? Semi Crushes Car Into Colorado Gas Station
*" crash photos in above link linked article **
A semi-truck crash at a gas station in Littleton, Colorado, left a passenger vehicle crushed against the building, caused part of the wall to collapse, and sent one person to the hospital in what could have easily been a far more serious incident.

The person inside the vehicle was trapped after the impact. Police said that before firefighters arrived, officers and bystanders were able to pull the driver from the crushed car and move them away from the damaged building.

At the scene, the truck driver told investigators he believed the semi’s brakes had failed. That explanation did not hold up.

Investigators later found no mechanical issues with the semi-truck. The driver was charged with careless driving causing bodily injury.

The article also says that the truck driver and the company he works for have had numerous safety citations and traffic accidents!

Sadly these Boneheads don't belong behind the steering wheel of any vehicle.

Recently here in Texas a 'trucker' was stopped on a road side safety check by the State Police and was wearing shorts and sandals!

What's the issue? That's the usual clothing and footwear of all long-haul truckers in Europe... mostly poorly paid Eastern/Southeastern Europeans.

I think many even wear comfortable felt slippers behind the wheel.

Road side safety checks are almost non-existant here (just the mandatory annual technical inspection attested with a sticker on the license plate).

And I doubt that highway policeman know all the different tech inspection stickers on the various license plates. There are trucks from twenty-something different European countries you will see here regularly on the Autobahn. Impossible for highway patrol to check them while simply passing a truck.

If you don't drive obviously recklessly (e.g. drunk) or with visibly poorly secured cargo, no highway patrol or the few Federal logistics authority cars (to catch toll evaders) will ever stop a truck.

You have no clue how dangerous that is. Any foot cover that can slip off the foot will and then jam in the foot pedals. Now as to the shorts, that is just a danger to the driver themself. Zero self protection if something goes wrong. Of course it looks very professional when they pull into the customer!

(Translated from Norwegian to English)
Norwegian 14-year-old stole bus – drove to Sweden
A Norwegian 14-year-old boy stole a bus and drove across the border to Sweden. He was stopped by Swedish police in Stenungsund.

I don't know how a 14-year-old boy managed to drive a bus. He did not drive wobbly or far below the speed limit, Jens Andersson in the Swedish police tells VG.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning.

The boy crossed the border in a Norwegian-registered city bus. Norwegian police are said to have tracked the bus via GPS and seen that the bus drove over the Uddevalla Bridge on the E6 in the direction of Gothenburg.

– Just before 03.00 last night we received a message from a bus company, which had a bus standing in Vestby. They had a bus that had been stolen, and has tracking that had entered Uddevalla, says operations manager Rune Isaksen in the East police district to VG.

Swedish police become involved and stop the bus at 04:00. Behind the wheel they find a 14-year-old.

– He was cooperative when we stopped him, and alone on the bus, says Swedish Andersson.

The boy is looked after by the Swedes, and Norwegian child protection is on its way to pick him up.

He is reported for illegal driving and must be handed over to his guardians in collaboration with the Norwegian authorities.

The police take care of the bus.

According to a travel calculator on the www, it's approximately 131 US Miles or 210 Kilometers - a 2 hour and 17 minutes drive between Vestby, Norway and Stenungsund, Sweden.

Oh, I do. I'd never drive a car or truck this way. Dangerous.

I also think women shouldn't wear these ankle tie sandals when driving a car.

My argument just was: there are almost no police patrols in Europe. So a sober 14-year old can easily drive a stolen bus for hundreds of kilometers, even to a different country (open borders) without attracting attention of policemen. Just like lazy reckless truckers in felt slippers won't.
