This is one lucky young man
Eglin Texas, is about 30 miles east of Austin TX.
We found the red pickup truck that flipped over in Elgin Texas tornado
“He was in shock; he was crying,” said Ruben Briones, who said he helped the driver of the red pickup truck seen flipping over on Highway 290 in Elgin in a widely-circulated video.

“He told me it was scary,” said Briones, who added the driver is from Manor but is leaving the truck in Elgin near where the tornado touched down for the time being.

... We’re still working to track down the driver himself. Police said they believe he’s in his late teens or 20s.

Update to my previous post:
Texas teen to receive new truck after tornado flipped it in viral video
Leon told WFAA sister station, KVUE, the tornado seemed to have come out of nowhere.

"When I landed on my wheels my hands landed on my lap and I saw everything and I was like probably nothing happened," said Leon.

"I wasn't scared that much, but it was a shocking moment for me," said Leon.

Those flying fans continue to drop out of the sky. :-(

2 killed in fiery helicopter crash near Dallas.

Are these things being looked after or are they being neglected?

Robinson mast bumping controversy.

Mast bumping is a dangerous condition helicopters can encounter when load on the helicopter's rotor assembly is temporarily reduced during flight (for example, during a low-g maneuver or turbulent weather). The reduction of load triggers excessive flapping in the helicopter's rotor blades, which can cause the entire rotor assembly to shear off the aircraft.

Robinson helicopters use a patented design for their main rotor, with a tri-hinged rotor assembly 'teetering' atop an extended mast.[6] A number of Robinson helicopters have been destroyed in incidents where mast bumping was determined to have occurred.[7][8] A May 2018 article in the Los Angeles Times reported Robinson helicopters seemed to have increased susceptibility to mast bumping incidents. It noted Robinson R44s were involved in 42 fatal crashes in the U.S. from 2006 to 2016, more so than any other civilian helicopter.[9]

In 2016, the New Zealand Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC) released a report summarizing 14 mast bumping accidents or incidents involving Robinson helicopters in New Zealand, in which 18 people died. [10] The TAIC report noted "Helicopters with semi-rigid two-bladed main rotor systems, as used on Robinson helicopters, are particularly susceptible to mast bumping in ‘low-G’ conditions".

In 2018, a U.S. lawsuit accused the Robinson Helicopter Company of defective manufacturing after a mast-bumping event caused the in-flight breakup of an R66 helicopter.[11]

A 2018 Los Angeles Times investigation found that the Robinson R44s were involved in 42 deadly crashes between 2006 and 2016, more than any other commercial helicopter. And the R66 has also been involved in several fatal crashes that have produced lawsuits. Crashes of Robinson helicopters have killed 176 people to date.
That's not good at all. :-O

Thanks Wiggo, adds more fuel to my thoughts that the Robinson family of helicopters just look wrong with that big tall, narrow, pillar supporting the rotor.

Except...

Is not that tall column deliberately to place the rotors up high for stable handling and to avoid ground resonance during takeoff/landing?

Design review needed?...

Like everything in the certified aviation world, once it has passed (certified) it never can be changed, because any change invalidates it!

Unless/until the FAA mandates action to be taken to correct a (repetitive) problem vi an AWD. Then the manufacturer has to take action.

Three people reported dead at scene of 50-car pile-up on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County PA
Police say it was all caused by a heavy snow squall that led to whiteout conditions and slick roads.

“I couldn’t see anything I was just hearing banging around me. Then I heard a really loud boom that’s when black smoke came up from the tanker truck that blew up, that’s when I knew it was really bad,” said Lillie Weaver, Hershey.

Man arrested, accused of trying to track woman using Apple Watch attached to car
(Boyfriend) was charged with unlawfully attaching "an electronic device intended for tracking another person to a motor vehicle." An affidavit filed in Davidson County, Tennessee, describes the probable cause for his arrest, a misdemeanor violation of the state's prohibition on non-consensual vehicle tracking.
