Just heard on local DFW area TV news the NTSB will start investigation early tomorrow morning local time.

... Officials have not confirmed the number of fatalities or the extent of any injuries but said the B-17 had a crew of four or five people, while the Kingcobra was flown by a single pilot. No paying customers were on board.

The Allied Pilots Association said in a tweet Saturday night that two of its former members were killed on board the B-17. The pilots association, which is the union that represents American Airlines pilots, identified the crew members...

How safe really are these EV's if hitting a "large" piece of debris in roadway can cause damage to the point of an inferno erupting?
Incredible photos show unidentifiable Tesla after Pennsylvania highway fire

They had just brought the car home last Monday. According to the couple’s daughter, a large piece of debris was in the middle of the road and they were unable to avoid it.

At least they only catch fire.
Internal Combustion Engine vehicles not only catch fire but if the conditions are right, tend to explode as well. Not to mention all the fuel that damages the road as well as the surrounding environment if the fuel tank is damaged.

Truck v Bridge, bridge wins again. And it wasn't a case of it not quite fitting under either.

We have such a bridge in our city too.
There is a traffic sign miles before that bridge but trucks trying it anyways.
Sometimes 2 times a week the firefighters have to remove trucks out of the brdidge.

With each crime and every kindness we birth our future.

FAA wants pilots to be less dependent on computer autopilots
The US Federal Aviation Administration has issued new guidance calling for flight procedures and training to ensure that pilots can operate aircraft manually, without being too dependent on automated systems.

The guidance comes in the form of an Advisory Circular, issued on Monday. It's directed at aircraft operators conducting multi-crew turbojet operations and at training centers and aims to avoid situations like the Asiana Airlines crash that cost three lives, and many more injured, after an inexperienced pilot stalled the aircraft on landing after ignoring "inconsistencies in the aircraft's automation logic."

If you need to plug tour plane in, wait until you are on the ground.

NTSB: Planes had been directed to viewing area just before collision at Dallas air show
The report did not list a cause of the mid-air collision. It could take a year or more for a final investigation.

The P-63F was No. 3 of a three-plane formation of historic fighters, while the B-17G led a five-plane formation of historic bombers, according to the four-page report released Wednesday.

According to air show radio transmissions and aircraft surveillance data, the “air boss” directed the fighters to transition to a trail formation and fly in front of the bomber formation before proceeding near the 500-foot show line, the report said.

Bombers were instructed to fly down to the 1,000-foot show line.

These lines represented the distance from the air show viewing line at Dallas Executive Airport.

https://mynewsla.com/crime/2022/11/30/2-killed-in-plane-crash-at-torrance-airport/
Two people died Wednesday when a single-engine plane crashed while attempting to land at Zamperini Field in Torrance.

The Arion Lightning airplane with two people aboard crashed just after 11 a.m., according to Eva Lee Ngai of the Federal Aviation Administration. Video from the scene showed the small plane largely crumpled on a grassy area adjacent to the runway.

Torrance City Councilman Aurelio Mattucci told the Southern California News Group that both people aboard the plane died.

There were no reports of any injuries on the ground. There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash.

The crash was being investigated by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board, with the NTSB taking the lead, Ngai said.

If the Cops are just now doing this, you can bet the Cyber crooks/hackers already have been doing it.

Robots seek human help to cross the road

Photo of delivery robots patiently queuing at a pedestrian crossing has prompted dozens of comments from people on Facebook.

The Starship Technologies robots were introduced in Cambridge this month.

Cyclist Naomi Davies spotted the queue of seven in Coleridge Road on Tuesday and said they waited through three changes of lights before one crossed.

Starship said robots were not "shy" about asking for help, but in a very "English" way, were "happy to queue".

Ms Davies had stopped on the corner of Coleridge Road and Davy Road at about 19:30 GMT and watched the robots as they sat at the crossing.

A Water Spill Can Break Your Audi
Why are Audis being recalled?
According to Audi, there’s a risk that liquid spilled in the back seat area could cause a gateway control module to shut off and reduce the engine power unexpectedly, which can increase the chances of a car accident.

The NHTSA report says the module is located under the rear middle seat, and the vehicles were produced without a protective cover over the module. If liquids get into the area, it could cause a short circuit and the gateway to switch off, putting the vehicle in a limp-home mode. If this happens, the car will alert you with several messages and will still be steerable, and the brakes will still work, but the power will be reduced.

What Audi models are being recalled?
* Audi, A6 2019-2022
* Audi, A7 2019-2022
* Audi, A6 Allroad 2020–2022
* Audi, S6 2020–2022
* Audi, S7 2020–2022
* Audi, RS6 2021–2022
* Audi, RS7 2021–2022

Research conducted by Network Rail found that lack of knowledge was the most common cause of bridge strikes in the UK.

32% of drivers don’t know their vehicle height.
8% of drivers don’t believe road signage.
9% of drivers report inadequate signage.
1% of drivers reported poor information about low bridges when planning a route.
22% of drivers reported poor route planning.
15% didn’t understand signage.
3% other.
Also, if one is driving a vwhicle taller than 3 metres & no height indicator in cab automatically ensures a £30 fine if stopped.
What's worse than appearing in court for a driving offence?
Appearing before a traffic commissioner - A very expensive appearance.
Definitely on of the 32%
