That link is for a different article.
No, not using subscriber's account link. The paper is notorious for throwing up a paywall even for paid subscribers especially on "today's most read articles"...

For anyone hitting the paywall wanting to read article & see accompanying photos, try Stripes_com link below.
Stripes will B*tch about your ad blocker if active, but you should be able to click the "read without supporting ..." to see the article, which is just the original Star-Telegram article in Stripes "exclusive wrapper".

All I can say is that here my link and your 2nd have exactly the same content from my end of the world so there's links for some of us at least with just the Europeans to find out about.

It could be just some sort of regional thing with the links I guess.

Wiggo, very strange -- If I click your link I get: "Military jets in the path of Hurricane Harvey find safety in Fort Worth".

Now this would be neat up here.

New glow-in-the-dark Australian road feature goes viral.

Cheers.

A great idea - I'd love to see it being trialled up in the north of Scotland (e.g. Caithness, Orkney, Shetland) where during the winter there is very little daylight, or even clear days, to recharge the system between long periods of darkness.

That would be great pretty much everywhere, particularly on busy sections of road where you have to have your lights on low beam most of the time.

After the many, many, many human crash test dummies here's a somewhat different dummy (and much larger):

(For those that don't know - when a car hits a moose the poor animal's legs get knocked from under it and......)

What was the van driver thinking?

Dashcam captures shocking moment cars collide at intersection.

Maybe he just wasn't thinking at all.

Cheers.

NTSB wants all new vehicles to check drivers for alcohol use
...The new push to make roads safer was included in a report released Tuesday about a horrific crash last year in which a drunk driver collided head-on with another vehicle near Fresno, California, killing both adult drivers and seven children.

Tesla Bursts Into Flames, Connecticut Firefighters Need 25,000+ Gallons of Water to Extinguish

What some people fail to understand is it will still burn at the bottom of a lake. Oxygen is not needed for it to "burn." It is a chemical reaction releasing the stored energy and until the energy is gone it "burns."

Beer spill truck crash closes Florida highway

A Florida highway was blocked on Wednesday by thousands of beer cans after a crash with five semi-trailers.

All lanes were closed after the semi-trailer carrying the beer crashed into trucks parked on the side of the road.

Photos taken at the scene by the Florida Highway Patrol show so many spilled beer boxes and cans, the road can barely be seen.

The highway was eventually reopened some hours later. Only minor injuries were reported.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, two semi-trailers crashed on the busy highway on Wednesday morning and pulled over.

Two more semi-trailers pulled over to help, as well as a pickup truck.

A fifth semi-trailer - the one carrying the beer - failed to stop in time and crashed into the parked vehicles.

As well as the beer, concrete being transported by one of the lorries also spilled all over the road.
