Was this a massive case of tailgating?

A massive traffic crash has closed a major highway in the United States, with a drone photo showing the extent of the carnage.

Multiple people are dead after a car crash involving about 50 vehicles in Missouri, United States.

It’s believed the mass car smash was caused by a driver who suddenly hit the brakes, leading to a chain reaction of crashes.

A drone photo captured by news channel KAIT showed the extent of the carnage, with trucks jackknifed and a line of traffic stretched back along the highway....

He's among the 9 deceased and was not legally old enough to even have a driver's Training Permit.

The truck’s left front tire, which was a spare tire, also blew out before impact, said NTSB Vice Chairman Bruce Landsberg.

That particular fan thing used to fly almost over my house twice a day. Its nighttime roost being at Long Beach airport and its daytime roost at Barton Flats in the middle of the forest. I wish all injured a speedy recovery. I hope our county was smart enough to pay for hull insurance otherwise my tax bill is going up.

First comment is that that version of the 737 is an earlier version and is not a 737 Max.

Second comment is that a nosedive like that for an intact aircraft from cruise altitude is weird...

I did say 737-800.

It's looking more likely that Flight MU5735 might have been a pilot suicide as experts say that the dive was controlled (which 1st leapt into my mind on watching).

To my mind in an uncontrolled dive you would've seen parts of the plane ripping off prior to impact, but there was no signs of that happening in that video.

If they can't read the boxes this one will never be explained. If something mechanical happened before impact the impact will have so scattered the evidence it won't be possible to put it back together.

The driver responsible for a viral video clip featuring a flying Tesla is a wanted man, with officers offering a cash reward for information leading to his arrest.

Los Angeles Police are looking for a driver who crash-landed a Tesla on public streets while performing a stunt in front of on-lookers.

Viral video shows the Tesla Model S racing up a steep hill before soaring through the air in front of several people filming the scene.

The car then crash-lands, colliding with rubbish bins and a parked car.

Police said the Tesla was abandoned at the scene, which will be treated as a hit-and-run incident.

A statement by the LAPD said it offered a $1000 reward for information leafing to the offender’s “identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise”....
