I'm sure there is no actual 'mystery' other than how to most cheaply drain the flow of water through some hollows... Very annoying the press do not show the wider picture to show the surrounding lay of the obviously sloping hollowed/bowled land... It's definitely a landslip incident and are those new houses at the top of the hill that I can see? I've seen new developments in similar situations produce those types of effects and they're all the fault of very poor residential planning and ground testing. Cheers. |

All it takes is a leaking water pipe and a clay layer |

Not exactly "unexplained" as the whole hillside has been sliding downhill for decades and taking the road with it. In some places it is moving much faster than others. As has been said already, the press pictures rarely look at the slopes above or below the road, if they did they would see the scars from previous slips. Some people's mail might be late and a little soggy. Semi-truck carrying mail plunges into an icy river, snaps in half. Talk about being lucky. Cheers. |

That ship that was carrying all those brand new cars has found a watery grave. Massive cargo ship carrying cars sinks in mid-Atlantic. I guess that it wasn't as stable as 1st thought. Cheers. |

Woman dies after being blown over by helicopter in Plymouth, say police Downdraft toppled 87-year-old on footpath near Derriford hospital helipad and injured two other people Then there's your typical preliminary response from investigators to the press: A Department for Transport spokesperson said: “Our deepest sympathies go out to those affected by the incident at Derriford hospital. It would be inappropriate to comment while the incident is investigated by Devon and Cornwall police and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.” |

Not what you want during your peak hour run into the city. A multi-vehicle crash on the Sydney Harbour Bridge has caused one car to burst into flames, stopping traffic in both directions. |

Not what you want during your peak hour run into the city.Update: Dashcam footage of crash caused by car thief. Horrific dashcam footage of head-on crash on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with car exploding into flames. Thankfully no 1 was killed, but I wonder what his excuse will be. Cheers. |

Mazda and Volkswagen are working on new car tech that can watch drivers and pull them over if the AI thinks they’re asleep or experiencing a medical emergency. What could possibly go wrong? |

If your transportation is by ship in the Pacific beware Henderson Island, part of the Pitcairn Chain has been in wrong position Sailors from HMS Spey have shifted a remote Pacific island one mile south on the world's maps – after proving it's been in the wrong place for 85 years. |
