More hurt about.

The Kiwis are celebrating after New Zealand stunned India in a Test series, breaking their winning streak in an extremely rare feat.

New Zealand made history with their first Test series triumph in India as spinner Mitchell Santner inspired a 113-run win in the second match on Saturday to stun the Pune crowd.

The visitors bowled out India for 245 in their chase of 359 on day three to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

It is India’s first Test series defeat at home since December 2012, when Alastair Cook’s England beat them 2-1.

Before now New Zealand had never won a Test series on Indian soil dating back to 1955 and the Black Caps celebrated to stunned silence.......

That's not a record that anyone wants and will likely stand for a very long time (if not forever).

All out for seven - Ivory Coast set men's T20I record.

Well I have a dilemma coming up as I'm watching the Aussie girls putting on a batting display against the Indian girls while our boys are on in the 2nd test match within an hour where the Indian guys need 29 runs to make us bat again with only 5 wickets in hand.

[edit] Our girls set a record ODI score against Indian (both men's and women's) of 371. That means that the Indian girls will have to play 3x better than they did in the 1st ODI to pull off a win..

Cheers.

Well the Aussie men are making up for the 1st test disaster requiring just 19 runs to win.

Meanwhile the Indian girls are just trying to survive, but their game may last long than the men's match.

[edit] It's all over for the Indian men in the 1st session of play of day 3 as the Aussies take it out by 10 wickets.

Cheers.

Well they could only do 2x better.

Cheers.

Kolhi puts on yet another display of his poor sportsmanship as a 19yr old takes it to the Indian bowling.

‘Absolutely pathetic’: Kohli learns his fate over Konstas collision.

Indian cricket veteran Virat Kohli has avoided a suspension, even after his own country turned on him following his ugly Boxing Day act.

The opening session of the fourth Test was taken over by teen sensation Sam Konstas, who showed he wasn’t afraid of the big stage.

The 19-year-old played daring shot after daring shot as he put the Indian bowlers under pressure they haven’t felt all summer long.

As the onslaught continued, the Indian side looked all out of sorts with Kohli, 36, attempting to take matters into his own hands.

At the end of the 10th over, Kohli collected the red ball and made a bee line for the youngster before colliding into him with his shoulder.

Konstas, clearly unaware of what was heading his way, turned after the impact and exchanged words with the Indian star before Usman Khawaja came in to play peacemaker and settle the commotion down......
Quite frankly as a repeat offender he should've copped the full 4 point penalty IMHO.

Well India threw that match away.

Australia bowls out India on day five of Boxing Day Test at MCG to take 2-1 Border-Gavaskar Trophy lead.

Australia has bowled its way to a famous 184-run victory over India in the Boxing Day Test in a dramatic final session on day five at the MCG.

A thrilling match came down to the final hour of the last day's play, with Australia's bowling attack taking 7-43 in 25 overs to take a 2-1 lead in the series heading into the fifth Test in Sydney....

Clearly Indians are bad losers. LOL

‘Clearly not out’: India turns on Australia for ‘cheating’.

Balls just don't change the direction of their flight unless they're hit.

What got pulled off last night in the local BBL was amazing to see.

‘Catch of the century’: Freakish Glenn Maxwell moment goes global.

He was certainly a catch magnet in the game.

Unlike another country that I could mention the Indian public knows where the fault lays.

‘Colossal failure’: India turns on heroes with calls to blow the whole thing up.

There have been calls for the whole thing to be blown up after India’s brutal Border-Gavaskar Trophy series defeat.

The series came down to the last day of play on Sunday, but there was no denying the better team won with India’s tour falling apart piece by piece as the Summer progressed.

Dumped captain Rohit Sharma has been the lightning rod for criticism, but the blowtorch is now turning on the country’s biggest stars, including Virat Kohli.

Outside of his classy unbeaten hundred in the first Test in Perth, Kohli made more of an impact with his fiery gestures in the field than he did with the bat.

Reports about a “fragmented” dressing room and leaks about under-pressure coach Gautam Gambhir have not helped — and questions about the future of several veteran players are now being asked, following the 3-1 series defeat.

The reaction from back home has been gloomy at best, following their six-wicket defeat in the final Test in Sydney.......

Well that's 1 way to wake yourself up, but I wouldn't recommend it. It seems that it's just not balls that helmets protect you from.

‘Never seen that’: David Warner hits himself in the head in bizarre incident.

David Warner has hit himself in the head in a bizarre start to Friday night’s BBL blockbuster in Hobart.

The Sydney Thunder captain was left briefly rocked after he hit himself in the back of his helmet after his bat broke.

The former Aussie Test opener’s blade snapped at the splice after he threw everything into an attempted cover drive that hit the toe of his bat.

Replays showed the bat snapped immediately as Warner slashed at the ball from Hurricanes quick Riley Meredith in the third over of the Thunder’s innings.

The dangling bat whipped around and smacked into Warner’s head, leaving TV commentators to light-heartedly suggest the Sydney Thunder batsman should have had a concussion test before he was allowed to continue his innings......

Why don't they use such bats like in America? These seem to be more sturdy.

Uuuh, I fear I should duck and cover now, immediately.

You only duck in the covers when the batsman dislikes you.

The handle is made from a separate piece to reduce the shock and vibration.

A baseball player only gets to bat 3 to 5 times each game. A cricket batsman does that every over, they are on strike.

Well after 3 one day matches and a T20 match I can report that the Aussie girls have retained the Ashes.

It seems that the Wisden publication, "The Bible of Cricket", is now under fire.

Australian stars have been shamelessly snubbed with outrage surrounding the announcement of the world’s best cricket team.

Pat Cummins’ men have “completed cricket” but have somehow, inexplicably, been wiped out in Wisden’s Test Team of the Year.

There has been anger and scoffing ever since the publication, viewed as the “Bible of Cricket”, released its chosen Men’s Test XI of 2024 in its January edition.

Cummins is the most stunning omission with fans around the world wanting answers as to why the Australian captain was snubbed.......
There's only 1 way to settle this, a test series with Wisden's team against ours.

Well talk about almost being in sync.

1st the Aussie girls clean sweep the English girls by taking out their Ashes test match by an innings and then a couple of minutes later the Aussie guys did the same thing to Sri Lanka.

ECB is going to have to have a good long look at what they're doing back at home for their girls after that clean sweep as the fielding and fitness was sadly lacking during the whole Ashes series.

The Sri Lanka men just looked to be totally shell shocked as they just couldn't find an answer to anything.

I knew that it wouldn't take long.

England’s fallout after their historic Ashes loss to Australia has well and truly begun, with the knives well and truly coming out.

England’s fallout after their historic Ashes loss to Australia has well and truly begun, with the “enormous” gap between the two rivals set to force internal change.

Australia’s flawless series was topped off with an emphatic pink-ball Test win by an innings and 122 runs at the MCG on Saturday evening, the side’s third-largest win ever by runs.

England’s ability to draw the Ashes on their home soil back in 2023 hinted that this summer could have been Australia’s biggest test to keep retain the trophy in over a decade. But after winning three one-day internationals, three T20s and the series’ sole Test match, it has became abundantly clear that the predictions many had of England heading into this last month of cricket were well off.

Speaking on BBC’s Test Match Special post-series on Saturday night, former England spinner Alex Hartley noted throughout the coverage that change must come internally off the back of the historic multi-format whitewash.......
