Well there has been, for me so far, a certain lack of "electricity" being shown by 1 of the batting teams I will admit. Cheers. |

Draw, so all to play for at Headingley. Aussies win, they retain the Ashes, we win & prolong the agony. |

A great 1st day - a full innings. Aus all out for 179 - Archer 6-45. :-) |

Thought being bowled out for 85 at Lords by Ireland was bad enough - 67 all out is a joke. Bye Bye Ashes. 1 saving grace, that draw saves us from a "pomwash". |

We need 2 teams. Test & ODI. Until that happens, you might as well hold onto the Ashes indefinitely. |

WHAT?????? Well I didn't expect to see England win this one after their ***p first innings and the Australian good but not impressive second innings. Talk about taking it to the wire. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

As a native of these fair islands I am supposed to declare that I understand the rules and laws of cricket, but I must admit to having only the slightest grasp of the basics, anything beyond that is a very dense fog. However I will admit that watching a game of "village cricket" on a village green on a warm summer's day from the Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Test cricket has been somewhat disappointing from an England point of view over the past 40 years. However, the magic returns when 2 names are mentioned... ...Botham, Flintoff. We can now add a 3rd... ...Stokes. Proper nail-biting day. |

Well, you heard it here 1st folks. :-) Ian Botham in 1981 and Andrew Flintoff in 2005, add Ben Stokes 2019 |
