I didn't expect that. Rattled off the runs in 16 overs without losing a wicket, and without giving us the customary nervous breakdown in the middle. Well done - but part of me will miss the atmosphere of an India-Pakistan final. |

That was a fair old gallop - roll on the final..... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

After a quickfire ton from Labuschagne on day 4 the Aussies declared their 2nd innings at 2/182 and at stumps the W.I. were 3/192 and still requiring 306 runs today to win. |

At stumps on day 1 of the 2nd test the Aussies were 3/330. The W.I. have a long hard road ahead of them with both Labuschagne and Head both n.o. and on centuries. |

At stumps on day 2 after the Aussies declared their innings closed at 7/511 the W.I. were 4/102. |

Well the Aussies decided that a bit of hit and giggle was in order for their 2nd setting the W.I. a target of 496 with 2 and a bit days to go (you could just say that it's been total overkill). |

...or a couple of good knocks and hope the middle order hangs in there. But then overkill in cricket is much under rated ;-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

At stumps on day 3 the W.I. were 4/38. |

Yet it was overkill as the W.I. were dismissed in the 1st session of day 4 for 77 runs falling 419 runs short of the target. |

Overkill in action.... And to think that at one time the Windies would consider that difference to be a "normal" first two wickets stand, how the mighty have fallen. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
