After an explosion of batting the Aussies have declared at 2/217 setting a target of 421 (due to a 5 run penalty for Warner running on the wicket the target is 416 now) for the Kiwis to win in 4.5 sessions. Warner finished on 111n/o.

Cheers.

It's a day late, but that wasn't my fault, though India got a walloping at home.

Australia makes history by thrashing India in first ODI of three-match series.

Cheers.

Finally, a contest. :-)

India has levelled the 3 game ODI series at 1 all after defeating the Aussies by 36 runs with a total of 340.

Now for the decider.

Cheers.

Well the Indians have proved again that they're a hard nut to crack at home winning the 3rd ODI and taking the series 2-1.

S.A. next.

Cheers.

Billy Cooper, the Barmy Army's trumpet player, to retire
For many, he's the soundtrack to the England cricket team.

Jerusalem being belted out? It's the first over of the day. Rocky theme? David Warner must be walking out to bat. Simply the Best? Ah, that means Dom Sibley's going well.

Sibley the best - geddit?!

But Billy Cooper's trumpet will soon be no more. After 16 years of rousing England's fans and players alike with his greatest hits, Cooper - a classically trained musician who can usually be found in cricket grounds the world over - has decided to call it a day.

Certainly when it comes to touring anyway - the current Test against South Africa will be his last one (at least in an official capacity).

This is not what you want to happen in the lead up for the women’s T20 World Cup.

Achini Kulasuriya hospitalised after shocking blow to the head in T20 World Cup warm-up game.

She'll certainly have a headache for a while.

Cheers.

How ironic. The English complaining about the weather washing out the women's T20.

It's a sad day for Aussie cricket today. :-(

Dean Jones dies in India of heart attack aged 59.

Former Australian cricketer Dean Jones has died of a heart attack in India aged 59.

Jones was in the country to commentate on the Indian Premier League, with Indian TV network Star Sports announcing his death in a statement.

"It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing away of Mr Dean Mervyn Jones AM," a statement from Star India said.

"He died of a sudden cardiac arrest. We express our deep condolences to his family and stand ready to support them in this difficult time.
Too young to leave behind a wife and two daughters.

In the 1st test against India here, the day/night Adelaide test, India may have taken 1st innings points, but they were bundles out this morning for just 36 runs and the Aussies have just won it with over 2 days and a whole session remaining.

Kohli now goes home for the birth of his child so how the Indian team will go without him?

Cheers.

The Indians have leveled the series 1-1, but I must say that those 2 matches have been played on the greenness pitches that I've ever seen here.

Cheers.

England wobble on day 4 against Sri Lanka but only need 36 on final day to win.
Going to be an interesting 2 days at Brisbane.
