So you see overflows running few AP tasks per GPU? And all OK running 1 AP only? No temp issue here. GPU is running at 55°C with only 50% fan speed while doing 2 AP`s at a time. No stabilty problems. I can watch movies while crunching 2 at a time without any lags. Offline bench is strongly similar with same params on the online task. Very weird. Will try lower unroll on the next natch. Saw the new AMD driver... There is the 'Radeon Software (251MB)' and the 'AMD Minimal Setup (12.3MB)' [for Windows 8.1 x64] available. The 'AMD Minimal Setup' would download/install less (enough for just SETI crunching)? Someone tested already this 'minimal'? I tested up to Catalyst v15.11.1 Beta (currently installed), and 2WUs/GPU wasn't possible on my FuryX's. I downloaded already both above mentioned and both is v15.11 (in the file name). So I worry it will still not work (2WUs/GPU). BTW. Until now I tested 2WUs/GPU with just '-v 0 -hp' for AP and '-v 0 -no_cpu_lock -hp' for MB in cmdline.txt files. That's OK, or I could test it also with Mike's suggested cmdline settings for 1WU/GPU? Thanks. |

Since the FuryX same as my 380 are both GCN 1.2 cards i would expect it should work for you also. Make sure you get 15.11 with dot.net. Of course i have no clue what the difference on win 8.1 is. The driver in fact is the same. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Installed the 'Radeon Software (v15.11)'... My FuryX's make here and there wrong '-9 result_overflow's. So on my system still just 1WU/GPU. :-( |

BTW. For Windows 8.1 x64: http://support.amd.com/de-de/download/desktop?os=Windows+8.1+-+64 it's: 'radeon-crimson-15.11-win8.1-64bit.exe' No longer .NET, at least in the name. |

Yes, i noticed my driver is win 7 only. I also noticed when 1 AP and 1 MB running in conjunction the MB is not getting enough ressources and takes double time to finnish and the AP overflows. Have 5 CPU cores free tho :(. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Saw this on one of my favorite sites this morning - http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/amd-crimson-software-might-cause-locked-fan-rpm-at-20.html I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

Also here, apparently: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/11/amds-new-crimson-drivers-accused-of-burning-up-video-cards/ Watch out for the hot fix. |

Thanks for the note! Crimson v15.11.1 Beta is available now (at least for Win8.1 x64). With Crimson v15.11 I saw downclocking on GPU#3, reboot - then on GPU#0 (on my FuryX's). The related fan were at ~ 90%. Normally the fans are at min. 15% (automatic, stock liquid cooling) at ambient ~ 24°C. |

Not sure why they only noticed that now. I had that already with the 14.12 drivers, where when I uninstalled all the overclocking applications, I found through GPU-Z that the fan speed was stuck at 30%. That was Overdrive kicking in and nothing I'd do at the time would budge it. At the time I thought this was the minimum fan speed to maintain 2D speeds. This was the main cause I started using Speedfan, and set it up so all fans would work in unison to combat the heat from the GPU mainly. Overriding that BOINC can at this hour run work on my GPU, I just saw my GPU fan speed rise from 20% minimum to 38% to battle that the GPU runs past 60C and slow down again. Good enough. |

Correct Jord, and it happens on Linux too. I only noticed on Mint first because Afterburner is allways running on win 7. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Of course, hiding Overdrive in another part of the new GUI doesn't help either. I thought they'd done away with it, but just found through someone's helpful post at Reddit how to get there in Crimson. It's still at the 'acknowledge you want to use it' stage, so leaving it at that. Perhaps when it's not set at all, that won't force the fans to be stuck at the low value either (yeah, I know. Let me dream! :). |

ok,sorry its kinda hard to follow here what the answer to my question is... im running 2 290x's ..2 workloads per card ..currently usuing 14.4 as it seems to be the best for more then 1 WU... do the new crimson drivers work with more then 1 WU? or should i just stay with what i have? |

Got to agree, Crimson is a bit buggy on my 280Xs... |

There you go, free upgrade (not that it is a big step). All things aren't necessarily bad! |
