EISHTMO was the only bit of Morse Code I ever picked up, oh that and CQ :)

That's all very well, but there was a certain way of learning the morse code, not just knowing the A-Z etc..
That's why I mentioned the EISHTMO - it was the first lesson, the only one I ever really got. E - dit, I- dit dit, S- dit dit dit, H - dit dit dit dit, T - dah, M - dah dah, O - dah dah dah.
And CQ - I just heard that a lot among my radio ham friends when i was young - dah di dah dit, dah dah di dah.
