I chose to "donate by check" and downloaded the relevant form, wrote the check to "Regents of the University of California" (as directed), and mailed it on December 10, 2015. It has not been cashed yet. Is it possible the Regents don't know what to do with it and it is in somebody's "in" basket waiting for some cosmic revelation? It would be a good sign if Seti is getting credit for donations via the Regents; it would be a bad sign otherwise. Things do get lost in the mail, of course, but just wondering if the fates have frowned on me alone. |

Hi, I made donation to SETI on December 31, 2015 (confirmation number 174637) but I don't see a green star yet. I wonder how soon the donation status will be updated and what the duration of the green star display. Thank you. |

Hi, Did you use the same email address for the donation as you use for SETI@Home. Or do you have the "Are all your donations anonymous?" field set to "yes" on your account page. The stars normally appears soon after the donation and last for a year |

I guess I didn't use the same email address. Well, I stay without a green star until next time I donate......... |

@Chris I followed the exact instructions of the downloaded form: check payable to "Regents of the University of California"; annotated with the "Seti@home Project" note; filled out the Donation form; mailed to SETI@home / Space Sciences Laboratory / University of California at Berkeley / Berkeley, CA 94720-7450. I am not overly concerned with the missing green star, although it will be nice when it (eventually) appears. In any case, that is not expected until the check has been cashed. I will be patient, but after 60 days I thought it would be worthwhile to set in motion some informal inquiry. Gene; |

After 60 days you can be sure the fault lies in the Post Office. https://prd2faq.usps.com/faq/iq/usps/request.do?forward=emailUs |
