Running most current version of BOINC on a Windows 7 -32bit machine with Nvidia GT270 card (which is in the compatible list.) CPU is a Core2 3.04GHz.
SETI properties show "Don't request tasks for NVIDIA GPU -Project preference"
I don't see any way of changing this... Or is it SETI's preference that projects not run on the GPU for this particular type machine?

Your advice will be appreciated!

If that truly is a GT270 then you will want to read this thread regaring Pre-Fermi cards

Marc,
You currently have four computers shown on your account, none of them match the CPU or GPU description you have provided:
ID: 7584744 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz [Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6] (2 processors)

ID: 7554400 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz [Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 5] (8 processors) NVIDIA GeForce 210 (1024MB) driver: 341.44 OpenCL: 1.0

ID: 7048604 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz [Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6] (2 processors) NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 (1024MB) driver: 358.91 OpenCL: 1.2

ID: 6689083 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7] (4 processors) NVIDIA GeForce 210 (511MB) driver: 321.01 OpenCL: 1.0

Looking at the tasks running on your computers, none of them (recently) have been run on the GPUs. I am guessing you are talking about the options on your account's web pages. This being the case you have to click on the words (Edit preferences", the screen will change allowing you to change the "use Nvidia GPU" status by ticking in the box alongside it, then click the "update preferences" box. This page knows nothing about the types of GPU you have installed on your computers.

Sorry Bob,

Thanks for your response!

Lysdexik typo. :-)

It's GT 720. And it's a Core 2 2.40GHz. Have no idea what I was thinking. ;(

I will try making the changes you've suggested...

... Yes, I've found that group of preferences and enabled the GPU on all the machines.

As I mentioned to Bob, the "270" was supposed to be "720".
