I haven't run stock for years, so no useful addresses in the client_state. Your link did work though and I was also able to guess the address for the .cl file. It's basically the same as with the other App, 1st run works, 2nd run with MultiBeam_Kernels_r2936.cl_RadeonHD4670.bin_V7 present crashes the App. Remove the file and it works again. The log reads;

I have the same issue with my late 2009 27" iMac with the ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB. Once it finally gets the proper opencl_ati_mac after trying all the others, it will run one and then all the rest fail immediately. See: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1963887680. For some strange reason it also only downloads the SSSE3 app instead of the SSE41 app.

I'd be happy to test something if you need it.

Yes. I also have a mid 2010 21.5" iMac with the ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB. I've tried TBar's recent ATI HD 4 app on it but it doesn't work for me. I had to guess on the app_info though.

Both Apps work the same for me. As long as the kernel file MultiBeam_Kernels_r2934.cl_RadeonHD4670.bin_V7_xxx (or a similarly named file) is Not in your setiathome.berkeley.edu folder the Apps will start and run. During startup the Apps will create the kernel file and leave it after completion. If you remove that kernel file before the next task starts it will work. So, about all you could do is Suspend the tasks and let them run one at a time while deleting the MultiBeam_Kernels_r2934.cl_RadeonHD4670.bin_V7_xxx file before starting each task. Kinda a pain, but I guess if you wanted to test run a few it would work. The names of the files to delete would be;
MultiBeam_Kernels_r2934.cl_RadeonHD4670.bin_V7_xxx
MultiBeam_Kernels_r2936.cl_RadeonHD4850.bin_V7_xxx

Once the App starts running you can't suspend it or restart it without removing the MultiBeam_Kernels_r29xx.cl_RadeonHD4xxx.bin_v7_xxx file first. After that file is created it will crash the App everytime the App starts.

Only app's own kernel binary cache or oclFFT kernel's binary cache too.

Fast solution could be to add new switch that allows to disable kernel caching. Apparently caching logic has some flaw and not handle properly cases when kernel reconfiguration required (due to lower than usual WG size or local memory restrictions).

I've not been successful at having the iMac 4670 receive any GPU tasks. I will work on it this weekend and report what I find.

On my iMac with the 4670 I received a Astropulse WU for the ati gpu. I think it may have the same issue. It creates the file AstroPulse_Kernels_r2750.cl_RadeonHD4670.bin_V7_TWIN_FFA_14.5.0_10. It runs for about 6 seconds and pauses. If I delete the Kernel file it will continue. If not it will end with a computation error.

Where are you looking for these files? I have a mid 2010 iMac with an ATI Radeon HD 4670 256MB video card and 8GB of memory. Running El Capitan Any seti@home files that require GPU fail very quickly leaving a message in the event log "100% Computation error (0.271 CPUs +1 AMD/ATI GPU"

NOT these 2 - as you see they are Not .bin files

Only delete what matches:
*.bin*

Arrrgh! I delete MultiBeam_Kernels_r2936.cl_RadeonHD4670.bin_V7_15.0.0_10 and it keeps coming back. Any ideas?

It comes back for each work unit. As TBar suggested, if you want to run GPU tasks, you have to manually delete it in between each work unit. If there are other GPU tasks in the queue, you need to suspend them so they won't run until you can delete the file. You also have to have Boinc and your computer set so they won't stop/pause/suspend the GPU task, or you will have to delete the file before it starts. Basically, GPU always and computer so it won't go to sleep.

This morning the files were not back and I still got the failure. I have set to use gnu always now, we'll see how that works. Thanks for all the help.
