Voices in my head...

I remember a C&W song about "voices in my head" that was the songwriter talking about remembering the important Parents/Relatives/Adult Mentors in his life. And their voices as they talked to him.

Not completely weird. After all they wouldn't write instrumental music if someone wasn't going to listen to it....

I take that back. "They" would write it. We wouldn't know about it.

Malmö is the first municipality in Sweden to create its own sound identity, which will be used, among other things, in the films produced. In total, the preparation, recording and production of Malmö's sound has cost SEK 485,000, roughly $45,000.
In the clip, you can hear some of the sound put together by the City of Malmö and the communication agency Guller's group.

Well I can't hear any "sound identities" at all...

Never heard of this group until WIIL Rock 95.1 started playing it on the radio. Gotta say I really enjoy the song. It's upbeat, has some energy, and the piano and brass section reminds me of some Bob Seger. Apparently VOLBEAT has been around for quite a few years, but somehow escaped my sphere of bands I listen to. At the least, I think I'll be buying this one off Amazon.

Give it a listen for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBZi7JIdSps

Just a bit of an audio treat I wanted to share.
I have always loved barbershop quartet, and these guys just nail it.
Beautifully miked and sung.
I love the bass lead on this song.
Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver.
If you have decent speakers, turn it up a little and don't spare the bass.
The New Jerusalem
Just love it.

Here is another bit.
They can sing.
Don't turn it up too loud, because they can blow your socks off.

Meow.

@moomin
Stairway to Gilligan’s Island
Oh dear. It's the same song:)
During a 2004 interview on National Public Radio, Robert Plant referred to the tune as his favorite cover of "Stairway to Heaven."
However Stairway to Gilligan’s Island was first published in 1977 about six years after Led Zeppelin released "Stairway to heaven" in 1971.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Roger_and_the_Goosebumps
Anyway that song is not what the debacle is about. It's about the guitar intro.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stairway_to_Heaven#Spirit_copyright_infringement_lawsuit
Over the years, some people have considered that the song's opening guitar arpeggios bear a close resemblance to the 1968 instrumental "Taurus" by the Los Angeles-based rock band Spirit, written by Spirit guitarist Randy California.[9][33] In the liner notes to the 1996 reissue of Spirit's self-titled debut album, California wrote: "People always ask me why 'Stairway to Heaven' sounds exactly like 'Taurus,' which was released two years earlier. I know Led Zeppelin also played 'Fresh Garbage' in their live set. They opened up for us on their first American tour."

DJs from Italy have announced they will play the longest ever set in the "Temple of the Lost Future" cultural centre. The Italian musicians are determined to continue the set until the national lockdown's end on 3 April, imposed by the Italian authorities due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Dread Zeppelin is an American band best known for performing the songs of Led Zeppelin in a reggae style as sung by a 300 lb. Las Vegas Elvis impersonator.
