Ring Out, Wild Bells since it New Year.
Ring out, wild bells, to the wild sky,
The flying cloud, the frosty light:
The year is dying in the night;
Ring out, wild bells, and let him die.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the grief that saps the mind
For those that here we see no more;
Ring out the feud of rich and poor,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
With sweeter manners, purer laws.
Ring out the want, the care, the sin,
The faithless coldness of the times;
Ring out, ring out my mournful rhymes
But ring the fuller minstrel in.
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
Ring out old shapes of foul disease;
Ring out the narrowing lust of gold;
Ring out the thousand wars of old,
Ring in the thousand years of peace.
Ring in the valiant man and free,
The larger heart, the kindlier hand;
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in the Christ that is to be.

Lori and I were watching some older Outlander the other night, and this Dylan song was used to close out one episode.
It's been covered many times by many artists over the years, but this version is especially nice.
A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall. By Marshall and Sarah.

And, if you are an Outlander fan, here is how it was used to close the episode.
It was a rather poignant moment for many of the characters.
"Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster

The fizz of my ginger ale, the air-conditioning, and the clickety clack of my keyboard.

The whir of my Amateur Radio's cooling fan as I read some good e-Books. Just finished (several days ago) the most recent of Mike Shepherd's "Kris Longknife" series; re-reading Mack Maloney's "Wingman" series now, only about 70% through Book #2 so far.

When I used to work 3rd shift, I developed a taste for ambient music like Zero 7 and Air. I still like those bands. They're good for zoning out.

Pink Floyd - The Division Bell. ~Certainly not their best work, but special because I went to see them that year - 1994.

Rachmaninov Concert number 2 on Radio RAI 3 via FM. The orchestra is the Santa Cecilia National Orchestra, the pianist is the Russian Eugeny Kissin, if I understood the speaker.
