I'm not too sure about the AMD GPUs, but few of the stock applications for GPUs actually have graphics built in, so the option to have them is greyed out. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

As I already said on the BOINC forums, the GPU applications (and that's all of them as far as I know) do not come with a paired graphics application. Only the applications running on the CPU only will have a graphics application and thus can show the Seti screen saver. GPU apps can only show the Seti screen saver when they run together with one or more Seti CPU applications. Otherwise they will show the default BOINC screen saver. I also said to complain about it here, as the project is able to change it. They can tell the application developers to add graphics applications if need be. It will just need enough people to complain about this/request the possibility. |

OK, so sorry if i seems dense but if understand what you are telling me it is this, if it runs on a cpu, it can output the normal screensaver but if it runs on the gpus it doesn't? Yep. |

Show Graphics, displays only the top bar graph and all the information, but not the graph images inside the box itself? I have Windows 10. It was working this just started recently. |

You have an Intel i7-2670QM CPU which has a built in GPU, which has problems with its drivers. Part of the OpenGL component does not always work with the graphics here at Seti. Plenty of others with iGPUs have posted about that seeing this problem. But then at least one person posted he got it working as well, you can try what he wrote: https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=77167&postid=1691245: I changed the colour of the graphics and changed it to 'minimalist' setting and the graphics working now. even if I put the graphics back to the original it still works. |

I'd like to know when SETI will finally create a viewable-active graphic showing progress, and other items within the graphic for SETI projects on the Windows versions of BOINC that will run if wanted by the user, when like on my computer the project uses my GPU. Most or all of the other projects using the BOINC are now showing active graphics for those being ran on computers with GPU's. I have a nVidia GT630 with 4-Gig (I still don't know what the RAM type, or it's speed is, as none of the utilities I have found will give this added information, and nVidia hasn't made it to show in their Control GUI) of at least I hope DDR 3 RAM on the card. I am also at present running the latest version of Win 10 Threshold 2 64-bit-Pro Build 10586. |
