LSM and I are back from the polls.
There has been no trouble, but a big
turn-out. When got to our coffee
the place was packed! Looks like a
lot of old folks around these days.

Good, late, morning everyone. :-)

OK - The dentist installed a "temporary" crown of porcelain. He said that half the tooth is gone. We are now awaiting authorization of the insurance company to go ahead with installing a permanent porcelain crown.

Total cost without insurance is $800.00!!! My insurance may only cover $200.00... :-(

As for the no pain thing... The dentist had no answer; as in, there should have been a LOT of pain. So, God was with me. :-)

Another 3.3 quake in San Ramon. Evenso I am relatively close, I didn't feel that one either.

Good to hear about the temp repair Scott.

Let's do the Time Warp again!

Watching the Rocky Horror Show live performance that appeared on BBC America Saturday night. Very different from the movie, and with incredibly funny audience interaction (much of which I probably shouldn't post in a kid-friendly forum). I really had no idea. Even with the closed captions turned on, I'm probably missing a lot of the British cultural references (like the significance of the actors who come out on stage to narrate).

Ping!

I went to see Rocky Horror back in the 80's when the Berkeley theater was still open. Also saw it in Concord/Pleasant Hill at Sun Valley Mall's Theater, (no longer there - well the Mall is there; but the Theater is LOOOONG gone), also in the 80's. I enjoyed the fact that the audience participated with toast, squirt guns, and umbrellas.

I think Barstow CA is quite lucky, they still have a Drive in Theatre and that can be seen as one drives by on the i15 fwy too, it's on the Old Hwy 58 exit.

Also in the 80's I attended several midnight showings in Westwood. Audience participation manditory.

Let me reiterate: this was a live stage performance, so the actors could and did react to what the audience was yelling at them. Beyond that, it was also broadcast live to movie theaters all over Europe.

Still, if this is the standard audience participation bit, I really must go someday. Er, night.

I'm the kind who actually watches the credits. The first narrator was Stephen Fry. The Usherette who sang the opening number "Science Fiction Double Feature" was also Magenta. Eddie was also Dr. Scott.
