(and let's hope that host catches new ones)

And nope, no new MB wu's.

Well, it's just a luck in draw. And I lost...

I have two invalid and three validation inconclusive as follows

Invalid: 21no11aa.14796.24718.4.12.138.vlar and 21no11aa.994.39313.5.12.75.vlar

Inconclusive: ap_23no11ai_B2_P1_00180_20151112_26295.wu_1
ap_23no11ai_B1_P0_00218_20151112_20780.wu and 08no11aa.5894.10701.438086664199.12.135

Is anything going wrong or is my wee pc failing?

Both your Invalids were part of that bad batch of splitter work from last week (see earlier messages on this board). I checked, you don't have any more of those waiting to run (last digit >3).
The Inconclusives look normal, you won't be able to know until someone else completes as well. As APs, they were not a part of the splitter problem.
No worries. All looks pretty normal to me.

Message 1743332 - Posted: 19 Nov 2015, 14:55:55 UTC - in response to Message 1736677.

Strange that when the ATI Apps were released it didn't take a week before some were displayed. I've launched specific hardware and seen it show up within a day back when there were few Linux GPUs being displayed. Not to mention the Mac nVidia AP App has been around for quite a while and recently has had constant results returned from caches yet nothing was being displayed...until I mentioned it. Look at the Mac nVidia AP number, it's quite high comparatively and the slower cards have been working continuously. Those of us that pay attention aren't easily fooled, believe what you wish, within hours of me mentioning it they appeared.

I'm not sure what the threshold value for a specific GPU to be displayed might be. The CPU list requires 10 hosts before a specific CPU is listed.
I'm not sure that same limit is used on the GPU list. As I have from time to time seem my custom GPU name of "ATI Radeon HD 6870 (Barts XT)" be displayed instead of the BOINC stock "AMD Radeon HD 6790/6850/6870 series (Barts)"

From what I can tell in the code it requires there be at least 1 device in the past 30 days. There is a section where it is getting the results that states $results = BoincResult::enum( "app_version_id in ($av_ids) and create_time > $t and elapsed_time>100 limit 500" );. So it looks like tasks under 100 seconds don't get counted. Which would prevent those that GPU's that only produce invalids ever 5 seconds from getting mixed in.
However I'm not seeing any other limiting factor.

How about a host that does valid shorties in 72 seconds? Maybe that's why my 980/780 do not show on the linux NVIDIA GPU list anymore.

Umm, presumably the GB fix either worked, or didn't and the old splitting software is back - but Beta is STILL not online...

Thanks Jimbocous,

I only have an Intel E4700 double core CPU to work with so I notice these problems. I am happy to accept your advice that this is normal behaviour.

Thank you again for the advice.

If you want a laugh, look at my profile and look at my computers, especially those that have not checked in in 30 days or more. Tremendous collection of junk there ... Slowly retiring stuff that generates too little work for the power consumed, but the majority of it was much tireder than what you run:)

The thing we tried last week (science database updates in advance of Green Bank data splitting) that didn't quite work? Well, we're doing it again this week, this time with hopefully more success. The beta project and other science database related stuff is offline until this is finished. We may likely run out of workunits, but we shall see...

- Matt

How long is it going to be before this is complete?

The Main project is up, But Beta isn't, that project is miniscule compared to the Main project, shouldn't Beta be up by now?

Yep, they seem to struggle. Couple "project has no tasks" -messages. RTS -buffer is still nothing...

Where have all the tapes gone? Last night, there were many, over 400 channels of MB to go, this morning a mere 8 tapes remain, a little over 100 channels..

Now it seems that we are crunching wu's faster that they can produce.

"Results received in last hour" has been over 110K for a while, when "Current result creation rate" has been about 30/sec (about 108K/hour). And there is lot of shorties adding to mix.

Add to that, I have seen a quite a percentage of 100% blanked go through.

That doesn't help when it only takes 3s to crunch them.

Many of the recent tapes seem to have been 'split' in double-quick time - I've seen

26no11ai
27no11ah
29se11ab
31dc11aa
31my11ac

all go through this morning, and I've received precious few tasks from them.

We have seen them all before, but mostly between March - May 2012: that's the year before v7 was introduced, so we haven't done the autocorrs before (unless they slipped through earlier this month when we had the splitter problems - I haven't updated my monthly records yet). Either that, or there's so much RFI on the tapes that there's nothing worthwhile left.

Watch out for 29ap11ad.2518.3748.8.12.22 and its siblings.

The _0 replication has the dreaded "Legacy setiathome_enhanced V6 mode": those are the broken splits from three weeks ago, just entering their first timeout.

Well, Exeter, (GTX-760 system), is out of SETI work. I set it to NNT so that it won't bother asking until this can be fixed. Prometheus, (GTX-750 TI SC system), still has a few hours of crunching to go.

Already crunched 18K RAC worth of Einstein Units on Exeter... May now switch to Folding@Home. Once Prometheus is out of SETI work, I'll switch that over to F@H too.
