That won't help Me, two weeks is what I'm looking at, putting off the dmv registration for a month will make it worse, from $98 to $130 and by then it might be sent to collections, but I digress, the Don't know thread has more info. All I can do is ask the park for help, and I'm not sure they will do that, they might threaten eviction. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Well I was cooking My dinner in the Microwave, I'd put the meal in there after the 1st 5mins, and it started, then the oven died, changed outlets, no difference, I'm going to complete this using the gas range's oven, I'm watching an RCA Microwave Oven, a 0.9cuft model for $54 on Amazon, 3 weeks of gas oven usage, ugh... $58.19 w/tax and FREE shipping. I KNOW it won't help today or tomorrow or in the next month. It was a suggestion for the future. Sheesh. Oh, and the coupons just might help sooner rather than later. If you can save a couple of dollars on some groceries, then why not? ~Sue~ |

In any case the DMV is paid for, and I'm not in the habit of using coupons, now I have to figure out how to cook dinner without a microwave oven for 3 weeks, as Mine just died... The food I buy is not something that a coupon would cover. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Ok I plugged the microwave into a different outlet, a 3rd one, and the microwave works, so I have 2 more dead outlets... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I just checked the guide on my cable box to see what reruns of Good Eats were on and discovered it's not. Instead, it's Choccywoccydoodah, about a cake shop of the same name in Brighton, England. Nine minutes and one commercial break in, I seem to like the show except for the narrator. I'm not a huge fan of kale, but one of my cousins served homemade kale chips at a party this summer. She tossed the kale with olive oil, baked the leaves until dry and crispy and then lightly salted them. The kale was delicious that way! |

I actually love old-fashioned cooked kale greens on the stove, but this current craze about kale chips and kale juice doesn't appeal to me. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Anything leafy green is YUCH. About 5% of population is a Supertaster and usually hates greens. We also tend not to like alcohol or tobacco. |

I have never liked greens. Many arguments with Dad about it. In the end Mum only cooked greens when Dad was doing overtime and had his meal late. |

I must be the exception, or maybe it's cause My mom introduced Me to green veggies, mom was from Rockwall Texas, and She could cook, Her mom Tot(Muddy to us kids, My parents thought We couldn't say grandma, Me I thought that was Her name, go figure) put My mom thru Catholic school where mom majored in Home Economics, technically mom could have taught cooking, She was that good, but then I grew veggies from seeds, like red swiss chard, kept snails away from beefsteak tomatoes, though the tomato plants were grown from seedlings I think, yes I had a green thumb, if I was interested I tended to do well at whatever I did. Yes I do like spinach, swiss chard, yellow crookneck squash, corn on the cob, green bell peppers, tomatoes, all of which I grew with My own hands, and yes I could cook too, I could bake too, even as far as cooking a turkey, or homemade beef stew. Right now I'm trying to figure out what to put with a package of beef stew(24oz, in a silver package), and a package of frozen carrots, that is from what I have available, I also have some dry kidney beans(a partial package I think), 2 bags of pinto beans, 2 bags of great northern beans, and a bag of walnuts, the walnuts I'd leave out, since I can't see those as an ingredient, I may have to soak the beans, and heat everything in a pan, should I add anything else? Besides maybe black pepper. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I'm currently heating some water for a Macaroni and Cheese dinner, I had to scale back how much I could prepare, since 4 boxes needed 6qts, right up to the lip of My largest pan, so I had to pour half the water down the drain. I have to add a 1/2 cup of margarine and a 1/2 cup of non fat milk and the cheese packets, the milk is what I have. The 24oz of beef stew that I mentioned is still in the refrigerator, and the carrots are in the freezer, they'll keep, until I can come up with something to add to the stew besides beans... There is an ongoing push to get kids to grow vegetables in order to get them to eat vegetables. Of course the logic is that they're more likely to eat them if they had a hand in growing them. Vic appears to be proof of this. ~Sue~ |

Truth be told that was when I was 26, I was eating veggies long before that, mom was a fantastic cook, she could make the least expensive meat, melt in ones mouth. Some veggies She bought were tough and stringy, why? Cause dad was secretly sending part of His income to support a sister that I didn't know existed, at least until recently, mom would have divorced him in an instant, Those tough veggies I tried to eat, but ultimately gave up on, when I did that I was punished, by being sent to My room, with no tv or anything else. Dad being from the north did not like greens too much, dad and My brother liked liver, mom and Me did not like liver, My sisters? I have no idea, I never asked, and I can't ask now for obvious reasons. My paternal family was from Nebraska(from 1850) via South Dakota(1865 or so), and Idaho(1918), Oregon, then California in 1920. I am the descendant of immigrants, My family came to the US in 1850, after trying to stay in Canada in 1820, the family had lived in Ireland for 200yrs, cause King James the 1st invited people who were persecuted in France to settle in England or Ireland in 1620, My family went to Ireland, Wexford is where My oldest known named ancestor was born at.
