Some of us are linux users and gamers - so let SETI give up the cpu when I run steam please :)

There is an option for exclusive applications, when they are running BOINC will not crunch.

Under the newer versions of BOINC they are a separate option under the options menu. But it should be under Computing Preferences for your version.
