Hope he was not struck down by Alla for blaspheming. Maybe he was stepped on by... I keep forgetting the name... The Elephant God. |

"Ganesha Ganesha is one of the helpful gods. The remover of obstacles." Oh. Probably isn't stepping on people then. How about Shiva, I seem to remember Shiva destroys things... like the universe. |

In the last post I put two pictures, and I used a computer to do it and I could see both with the computer. But now that I am back to needing to use my phone again, I can only see one picture and the other just shows as a broken icon, just like that rabbit-cat picture I could not see on my phone before. So some day I will find out what is different about them. |

I see both. It might have to do with the down load speed of your phone. Or Shiva playing with you.

Oh great, now I have one of thr Big Three gods in India, the god of destruction, after me. Couldn't I just have Ganesha squish me? Then there would be a Mojo patty left to feed the rats in that rat temple. But Shiva would atomize me, maybe reduce me to quarks or neutrinos... |

Hey, Jonathan Karl looks just like Barack Obama! I bet I am one of the few people on the planet that doesn't know about Dr. Who stuff, although people have mentioned a Tardis a lot. I don't know if that is the thing to go thru time(?), or a robot(?) that kills(?) people. Or what. But Barack/Jonathan has one around. |

We did have a thread on this but it's closed. Vizio's smart TVs are snitches, lawsuit alleges INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana man is suing TV manufacturer Vizio for collecting data about his viewing habits and selling it to third parties. He also contends that people did not consent to and or know about Vizio’s practices, which are facing several legal challenges in other states. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/nation-now/2016/02/18/vizio-class-action-lawsuit/80571054/ |

We did have a thread on this but it's closed. Worse than that, I heard recently that Samsung is warning owners of its smart TVs not to discuss personal information within hearing range. These TVs are always listening for you to tell them to change the channel, or turn up the volume, or even just turn on. The sound the TV picks up is sent through your internet connection to a server somewhere, which parses any valid commands and send them back to the TV to be executed. Apparently, Samsung used to have its own server for this, but now it's owned by a third party and Samsung feels it can no longer guarantee the privacy and security of the audio it picks up, or that said audio won't be stored and mined for things like bank account numbers and passwords. Similarly, did you know that when you ask Siri for something, or say "OK Google," or whatever it is you say to Cortana, it sends the audio to a server to be parsed... and uses some of your data allowance if you're not on wifi. I thought it was funny that Mulder had tape over the camera lens on his laptop, in the "Rebirth of the X-Files". I recently tried to use the camera on this laptop and found it's not working. The computer doesn't even seem to know it's there. It used to work; I took my original Facebook profile pic with it. I also recently learned that my newer laptop doesn't even have a camera. I bought a Shamrock Shake thinking it would taste like Mint. Well, it does, sort of, but mostly like artificial vanilla and some weird chemical taste. I have trouble seeing pictures on my phone so I don't think I need to be afraid of TVs. 8P |

Triple-murderer prisoner keeps mobile phone in his butt for a week Corrections Minister won't ask guards to don gloves and go where he won't to retrieve it -snip- “The first rule of command is never expect your people to do something you're not prepared to do. This includes asking officers to put on a rubber glove and extract a phone from (prisoners) bum.†|

My best mate bought me a pocket knife. It has a damascus blade and snakewood handles.I think snakewood is probably the most beautiful wood I have ever seen. PS- It's also one of the hardest woods on the planet. |

Bit-tech has an article up about Linux Mint, the 64bit ISO, it's not a good one either, some slimeball installed a Trojan Horse version online recently. Did you (or anyone) post this in NC?
